I think these events are very much a team effort. Without the cars you wouldn't have passengers, without the passengers you don't raise as much money....etc (chicken and egg).
But the whole event was great, some of the cars on display were just amazing to see. The Quattro, Jag...the list is long!
Thanks for coming, scd members brought the cars which guaranteed a real mix of cars...
Glad you got involved in the sporting bears, that SL is so special. Did you catch the rev off by chance?
Would be good to put a face to a name next time... We'll be coming to a city near you soon too wink

Fantastic day, saw Wijit junior going out in the Marcos with Sr. looking on with a grin on his face, thats what its all about, I'm lucky enough to have gone in the Superleggera before, and its incredible, Steve, and everyone else there, Mr Messiah, etc etc all thoroughly nice guys to talk to.

It was good that the weather held up too, my skin was well and truely cooked after the event, although, I had been there since 7!! biggrin

Yet again, well done team.

ETA: Thanks again to you Paul for the lift down and back, I do love me a Porsche.

We missed the rev off, as junior had his Murci ride shortly after the rev-off time so couldn't make it across. I can tell you we heard it though so we know it must have been good!
Junior also had his picture taken for a newspaper called the "Star"? I'm assuming that's a paper local to Sheffield so I shall have to nip to a place in Manchester and try to see if they have a copy.
I really do hope this even carries on annually and goes from strength to strength, for a lot of people this was an incredible chance to get close to some seriously nice cars and also have a ride in some. All this whilst making money for charity.
It'll be easier for you to put a name to a moustache in my case! Any news on the final amount raised?

I would like to thank everyone who helped make this happen, the list starts with Sheffield City Council who approved the event and allowed the city to enjoy the great cars in the two areas, Speedy Hire for barriers, The Graduate pub for storing a load of kit (and great melts!) all the volunteers who gave up their Sunday to marshal, collect and help, the owners of fabulous cars to bring them along to share, from static to Sporting Bears Dream Rides they all looked amazing and finally evryone who donated, form punds in the buckets to going out in the cars.

Thanks to teh team at SupercarDriver.com for inviting us along - Sporting Bears Dream Rides raised £1,270 on the day, all donated by the public and ALL going to help children at Bluebell Wood. Every driver donated their time, petrol and energy so every penny donated goes to the charity.

THANK YOU SHEFFIELD.
