And to the person who did, one day i hope to meet you as i owe you. But for today think about why we/i were there, for charity. Due to your actions my car will not be coming to Malton again, so think of the future generations of car enthusiasts who will not see a LY V6, clearly, i hope people agree, you are not the sort of person we want at this event.
We're appalled to hear that happened at our event.

As you'll know we have a state of the art bodyshop here at Specialist Cars of Malton, if you would like to give us a call (01653 697722) we'll get the car in and sorted, at our expense.

I hope it won't put you, or anyone else, off coming to our future events as I am sure it is an isolated occurrence.

Mark, Sales Manager, Specialist Cars of Malton.

I have attended nearly all of these and it always struck me how good natured they are. Shame the idiots are starting to crawl out from under their stones, but it shouldn't stop everyone enjoying the events.

Just like to add a small note. I parked outside a gate entrance of some business in the cul de sac only to be given grief an hour later when I returned by a guy who worked their in a pick up because he couldn't get in. Alls fair as yes I was blocking it along with a few other cars but surely he could of looked round and noticed all the other cars and put 2 and 2 together that it was for a meet and parking was tight and polietely asked me to move instead of hurling abuse. confused

And some arse in a Blue Noble half blocked a Lorries entrance whistle

Agreed, I think yesterday was the first one I've missed.
Hats off to Mr Mullen for the offer to the owner of the Clio V6, lets hope that the 'enthusiasts' prevail and the moronic cocksocketry was indeed an isolated event.

Top marks to Mr Mullen for that offer! clap

Would it be worth having a few marshalls patrolling the site for the next meet in Easter just to make sure there are no scrotes mucking about? A tad extreme I know but given the popularity of the event its unfortunatley going to attract a few imbeciles.

There was at least 8 off-duty cops wandering about that I know of, plus our guys, if anyone had seen anything it would have been sorted.

Over 3000 people came, the absolute vast majority of them behaved themselves, to have one incident in an event of this size I think is a credit to those who attend.

Let's not let this one event cast a shadow over what was, for very nearly everyone, a great morning out.

Great gesture Mark / Johnsmile

Shocking that its happened. I was parked literally opposite that Clio as well (Silver 996 Turbo) I had a good look over it, as it brought memories flooding back of my old Illiad Blue V6 (No.96 if anyones got it?) from many years ago cloud9

I was wondering if there was an element of bad parking which might have been a cause of keying - I'm really struggling to imagine any car enthusiast doing such a thing.

There's no excuses for blocking entrances, really none at all. That sort of behaviour will get the event stopped.

The V6 wasn't blocking any entrance and wasn't even on a kerb, it was parked next to a long line of other Renaults a Ford GT and a Porsche or two. All cars parked away from any entrance or drop kerb that I could see.

I wouldn't blame pugs for not bringing it again but it makes me worry about leaving mine unattended and I'm sure the other V6's might think twice if that's the attention they get. No fault of SCoM at all obviously but perhaps we could ask for more than the single PCSO walking around next time from the police somehow.
