We discussing the orange one which sounded like its exhaust was missing?
I guess so, not a pleasant noise when it started I would say, but each to their own and all!

Indeed. Lee Nobel is a talented guy, but there's only so much you can do with a Modeo engine! wink
Pretty sure its the exhaust not the engine that tunes the sound wink

Not supprising a Porsche owner has a hand held Dyson tongue out

Hope it does sound nicer when its warm as I love the high revving noise of lambos. Its just didn't sound anything like normal lambo sound when it started and drove away

Gallardos do sound st, I've never liked the sound of them. All of those 3rd party exhausts are just 'lipstick on a pig'!

The reason that lambo sounds so lame is because it's really a Mk1Toyota MR2 with a fancy bodykit.
Not quite sure who the owner thinks he is kiding by fitting a cherry bomb silencer and sticking a K&N on it??

Why do you want to know? Does what I drive somehow validate or invalidate a personal view on a Lambo engine sound ? Which incidentally I think sounds wonderful at high revs but just not so great at low revs. FWIW I drive a Caterham Seven R400 Duratec with roller barrel throttle bodies- which sounds crap on low throttle openings and pretty good at high ones- happy now ?

Not exactly, can you expand a little? What revs does it to begin to sound "good" at?

I went out for a lovely curry last night chicken and prawn madras went down a bloody treat, I've been imitating a Caterham all day by breaking wind quite regularly. Just like a Caterham engine I eventually ended up stting myself though! Not good.

Hahah!

What revs did your backeye start to sound good? did you manage any solids or was it mostly Bisto fashion?

Around 7.5k rpm the noise was heavenly like a 355 with a capristo in a tunnel although eventually the baffles went big style, none return valve is smoking a bit now and there's bisto everywhere!

I was going to come but I got stopped at the borders for smiling in Yorkshire. Shame, as my 530D with Pecco sounds epic and the kids love it when I spray stones all over them at Halfords, which is not 'jimmy saville' short code for anything.
