It might not have been a key, possibly someone marking it by accident with a pram/handbag/whatever. I'd like to think this was the case, I don't know anyone ballsy enough to key a car around thousands of enthusiasts biggrin

I'm absolutely staggered about the prank calling and a car being scratched.

Someone, somewhere must know who did them. Both done to Clios, got to be related.

Other than that it was a great morning and a fabulous turnout as always.

I'm sorry to have missed it. Unfortunately, I overslept and then decided to watch the Grand Prix instead... A silly mistake.

Also, someone at the event appears to have badly resprayed the front end of my Elise and thrown a rabbit at it, possibly at around 70mph. Please can you sort it out Mark?

Like to thank the guys at Malton Car specialists for another great meet seem to get bigger every year plus The Yorkshire Renaultsport Gang had one of out biggest turn outs for a long time so thanks to all you guys for coming as well.

Unfortunately as you no Pugs Liquid Yellow Clio V6 was damage during the morning which is very sad. Its one of my Fav cars in the group and i feel gutted for him as much as he feels. Its not malton's car specialist fault. but how some one can do that to a rare and an amazing car ill never know its not right and i know its gets pampered alot does that car.

I applaud the offer made by mark top guy for doing that i just hope your up to the challenge of trying to match Liquid Yellow, lol. Im hoping this is a isolated case as i wouldnt want us to loose numbers when im trying to get people together for next easters meet as it is the best car event in yorkshire we attend smile

Also thanks to everyone else who came in there amazing cars all lambos and ferraris were amazing and the austin healey and TR4 were stunning too along with the e type in the show room.

can 1 request for next year please, is there any Dodge Vipers out there that could attend that would make my day. The Dodge Ram SRT10 was the nearest i got with is Viper engine biggrin

We're appalled to hear that happened at our event.

As you'll know we have a state of the art bodyshop here at Specialist Cars of Malton, if you would like to give us a call (01653 697722) we'll get the car in and sorted, at our expense.

I hope it won't put you, or anyone else, off coming to our future events as I am sure it is an isolated occurrence.

Mark, Sales Manager, Specialist Cars of Malton.
Utterly fantastic gesture and a credit to you and your business.

I attended the BB meet Sunday very enjoyable as ever. Its about the 6th one I've attended.

Its a tricky one. The event is great and all the people that volunteer and the guys at Malton Specialist Cars do a fantastic job. For it to be tarnished by idiots keying cars and revving Subarus up is very sad.

Its hard to know how to prevent this kind of thing really other than restricting entry somehow which isnt really the point. I would probably suggest resting the event for a while and kicking things off again via some selected ownners club. Try and keep the riff raff out? That said when one of the riff raff was a GTR driver how do you tell!

As said, thats a great gesture by Mark @ Malton.

A real shame some chav element turned up, dump valves and cars being revved to oblivion.

Great day though, thoroughly enjoyed it.

This was my first event (yellow RX 7) and I had a great morning. Fantastic to see such a wide array of cars. Credit to the Malton guys opening up your premises for us to walk around. The gathering of attendees seemed very relaxed and good natured. We left before all the revving etc. I'll look out for the Easter event (if it goes ahead).
Thanks.

I liked the yellow RX7 too, had an FD myself some time ago, a black '92 with red leather.

A good pic of me (blue V6) going past the LY V6. Was trying to find a parking spot so great timing.

As an aside, why can't I embed the photo?

ETA it must be your settings, it wouldn't show on another forum either...

I was bowled over by the offer from Mark and the team at Malton. Rung them to say thanks and had a good chat with them. Yesterday i could have sold the damn thing, especially as on the way home its developed a lound banging noise coming from a rear wheel. For those who like the V6 it will be there in April, with a few changes and another detail. Not going to let a mindless idiot ruin other peoples enjoyment, and for the record i'd like to make it known i have been going to Malton for 3yrs (actually first meet i took V6 too) and nothing has ever happened like this.

Another brilliant turnout, big thanks to Specialist cars. Did anyone snap any pics of my black RX7?

As an aside, does anyone know the chap with the blue ZR1? Would be interested in photographing his car for my portfolio and didn't get chance to slap a business card on his windscreen before he left.
