I'm not matey, lending out a map. Would like to go but would rather spend a precious night out on doing a 12 car or scatter!

Well this seemed to go very well last night, it was packed with a lot more people than the Club expected.

Apologies to Logbert, I never saw you, but there were so many people that I didn't recognise it would have been hopeless wandering around looking, I hope you made it and felt it was beneficial.

Nice to meet up with Evoluzione (and partner), again I hope you enjoyed it and look forward to seeing you for the Scatter on the 20th Feb. I've sent you an email about the Karting in March by the way.

I should have something are you looking for map referances, or the 12 car navigational clues?. I will have a look through stuff and see what I can find. What maps do you have?, I've got a few rally routes from around the Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria areas, they make good practice.

I think I emailed a 12 car route out to Ben or Jez last year, so if either of them could have a look in their inbox it might still be there, I've changed PC's since.

Map reference same as last nights scatter.. but would also like to try 12 car too.. I was with a friend last night.. But I need to show wife (navigator) what to do wink map wise I got a 95 but that might be a bit far to go . I will get my own 104 and a 99 ,98 and possibly a 103.... somewhere around the Skipton area would be ideal for practice routes.

Hoping to be able to plot then go out and try it.

Hope you don't mind but I am pretty keen.. and appreciate any help you can give.

Thanks

I'm more than willing to help Ian. smile

Best get a 105 too, we have been over to the east on Scatters and I'm seriously thinking of taking a 12 Car over 'the border' into 105 territory later this year. I'm down to organise an event this year for the first time and I'm wanting to try and take some of the locals out of their area a little to level up the playing field.

Have you found dash4it they have saved me a fortune over the past few years.

https://www.dash4it.co.uk/store/index.php?cPath=1_...

edit... just realised where 95 is..... biggrinbiggrin

Sorry Ian but I've deleted the route cards you sent over, also the route card from the last IDMC 12 car.

Logbert, if you want we can meet up some time and I'll go through a couple of 12 car routes with you and the clues they used.

I think you've probably missed the boat with the Karting, it's an inter club event and I believe they have got their full allocation of teams now. the only space left are 'reserves'.

I'm struggling to find a scatter instruction sheet, but I have found that full set of handouts for the Beaver i sent to Jez, if you two want to have a crack at plotting that, you'd need a 94 and a 101. I will drop it on the email to you both. I wouldn't advise driving it though, not without a sumpguard anyway!

Martin, can you contact me regarding the Karting event if you are still up for it, I set an email a week or so back but I'm not sure if you are getting them.

Bringing this back up as reminder the first evening navigational event is in a fortnight on 20th Feb. A scatter starting at the Hopper lane Inn Blubberhouses.

Who's coming out to play?

Driver and IDMC member checking in smile

I can do that. 1981 Porsche 944, no Brantz, mileometer reads more or less ok.

YorkshirePudding or Johnfm in the important seat?

No need for a trip on a Scatter, just a map board, clip board pencils torch, a (quick) set of wheels and somebody to hold the steering wheel.
smile

Most people do the 12 Cars with much the same, very few Cars have a Brantz fitted, mainly the Historic boys ( and girls)
