I'm not the only one who has a lightly blowing exhaust then.
We do however have a problem, being totally disorganised we can't find anywhere to buy a 99 map, can anyone lend us one please?
I've just found a spare 99, I'll bring it tonight. I'll be arriving at about 6.45pm, black Porsche 944, come and grab it.We do however have a problem, being totally disorganised we can't find anywhere to buy a 99 map, can anyone lend us one please?

Yes I fully agree and plan to do more during the year, not this kind of event though, it takes far too much out of us mid-week to be doing more than once.
This is my first one too of this type. Am really looking forward to it. Hope some others are using older cars too or else we'll be at a real disadvantage with our 3 watt headlights
Yeah, irony is the OH has a Landy with fuge driving lamps on the front, don't think it'll be very nimble though!
Have to get a set of these perched on the front of the Big Yellow:

Think the rest of the electrics will probably go into meltdown though....

Don't forget the rules on forward facing lamps guys. The blue Book states no more than four forward facing lights (including your headlights) for road events.
It's debatable if it actually applies to 12 cars or Scatters, but I'd be very suspect of light pods. Lots of clubs don't even allow spots on 12 cars.

I've learned my lesson on that one before in the UK, Ian It's debatable if it actually applies to 12 cars or Scatters, but I'd be very suspect of light pods. Lots of clubs don't even allow spots on 12 cars.
My pod is for the Euro events I'm doing in the Porsche. Up the Alps etc in the dark. God bless the Europeans and their reasonable attitude towards lights/safety...
Excellent night last night, really good fun.
Top work in the brainy seat from Jez, 7th on your first time is pretty good chum
To other PHers interested: if you like the best roads Yorkshire has to offer, hardly any other traffic and some competition you'll love it. Oh, some quick driving too
Right, I'm off to Race Retro. Over and out.

Just if you can Benjj save me a copy of the route/clue sheet so I can have a go at plotting it at home.
I picked up a copy of the plots if you want me to send one over to you?Well done guys 7th at a first attempt is pretty good
We were pretty happy with 4th with (approx) 175 points, we were as usual scratching our heads trying to work out how the winners managed to get an extra 30 odd points, knowing where we went and also knowing as novices we had an extra 15 minutes over the experts. We do this every time of course!!
Then out of the blue I got a phone call from Hazel Pullan, to say they had missed two plots off our sheet when adding them up..... turns out we won!!
Dead chuffed with that
