I'd thought about it, but decided I haven't enough 'miles' left in my transmission to risk an autotest. Had a nice gentle run out in the Dales this morning on The presidents run though.
Probably do some if of the car trials during spring and summer in my youngest's Panda, they are good fun, even if we seem to be hopelessly uncompetitive for some reason.

If anyone fancies,navigating on the jubilee run (so simple tulips and regularity) get in touch. Have entry in an AH sprite, but navigator has pulled out!! Entry and fuel costs all covered...all you need to do is turn up an tell me where to go and how fast!
Have now found a willing "volunteer". Just need to sort out some brakes on the sprite now and we should be ready to go!Just revving this one back up, we are approaching the resumption of the Skipton Trophy championship. Three rounds to go a Nav scat on the 16th October a 12 Car on the 30th October and another event in November which I think will be a 12 Car.
There will be a Noggin and a Natter meeting with it's main emphasis on discussing the 12 Cars on the 9th October.
I'm organising the first 12 Car and have been pretty busy sorting out the route etc, the Regs have been passed across for uploading on the website so should be available early next week.
More details on the club website.
As a taster here is the introduction to the first navigation handout....;
Welcome to round 4 of the Skipton Trophy, you will find tonight's event is a rally of two halves. The first half will follow the style of event you might find on a Historic Rally, the emphasis will be on accuracy of navigation and regularity timing, assuming you get the route right the pace should be reasonably slack, though it will get tougher as you get towards the half way halt. The second half is arranged in the manner of a modern road rally, you will still need to plot and accurately navigate the route, but the timing system is simpler, the only thing you will need to watch out for in that respect is arriving early at controls. If I've judged it right that will be unlikely!.

Any chance of sending me a copy of the handouts across so I can have a bit of a practice, Er... no
Just been out checking distances and looking at RC positions. Checked the timing on one section and just cleaned it, 3.4 miles including four RC's in NAM's in 5.59, might have to find another NAM for that....
Mind you I knew exactly where I was going and it was daylight of course.

Go on Jez, you know you want too... Regs should be with you by now, the round robin email has been sent.
The Brantz will be useful for the first half, I doubt we will have time for a measured mile though, I've done mine by GPS and set the distances with that so if yours is fairly close on GPS you won't be so far out.

Jez, I can do the 30th if you want to nav the Porsche. Running a Brantz Int 2 now so a bit more accurate!
I'm up for that, velocemitch said:

The first half route book should at least mean we'll make it that far, Gassing Station | Yorkshire | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
