The PH 2013 Yorkshire Spring Hoon
Discussion
Think i'm gonna give it a miss too.
Spoke to one of the drivers today who had come down from Ripon - claims they'd had about 8inch over night. (fnah fnah)
Add on the drive up from Sunny Sheffield i'm looking at about £100 in petrol in total which might turn out to be slippery slide around, and not much fun.
Which is a shame.

I'm going to have to drop out, as I'm still awaiting gear linkage repair and don't fancy doing it in just 3rd gear! Just seen the Look North forecast, says risk of heavy snow from Friday.
Also, it means I can enjoy a bottle or two of Rioja on Saturday night now, there is some benefit.

Dan - I mentioned this earlier in the thread.
I'll be heading out early-ish for a run up to Malton, similar route to that time you came along in your white one.
Meet at the retail park North of York, on Ring road at ~ 7am.
Probably 70 miles ish over some of the nice open Moors roads. All welcome...

Chaps, be aware that the B1257 (off A170 between Helmsley/ Sproxton and Malton) is meant to be closed for resurfacing between now and the 31st March during various times of the day. There are massive potholes not just at the road edge but also smack bang in the centre of the road in places. I know some groups coming to Big Breakfast use that route.I'll be heading out early-ish for a run up to Malton, similar route to that time you came along in your white one.

Weather up here in the Dales is good and due to stay dry from now through to the weekend.
Could be interested in an early Sat run but am due to be at Silverstone for some track action on Sunday. Not confirmed yet though so Sunday still a 50/50 possibility.
Be aware though that all of the smaller roads still have lying snow down the sides thus making them far narrower. This would definitely have an effect on how much speed one can carry in the tight stuff.
