Guys for photo shoot why not the car park on the right just before Surprise corner on the way to Hathersage.
Just past Fox House? Again early morning or late evening as it can get quite busy during the day once it's even remotely sunny Or perhaps for individual vehicles this layby on the side of Mam Tor overlooking Edale link

By the way I seem to remember other parking spots further back nearer to Fox House. Somewhere near bend at Toads mouth but they don't seem to show up.

The problem with that car park is there is a big grass bank which would obstruct any decent views over the valley? so you'd just get a car park and a verge of grass. Depends what people want really. Next time I go for a drive will be posting here anyway so if anybody wants a hoon out they can join or vice versa!

They built banks on both sides to prevent parking. When I was a young 'un, if you got too crossed up, you exited the road and got away with it if you missed the rocks. Now, you bounce off the bank and hit a car coming the other way. To address this, they double white lined most of the road. Now people ignore the double whites, bounce off the banks and hit cars coming the other way.
Such is progress...

Any update on this?
Think I might be out and about on Sunday/ Monday in my car & my new Mountain bike.
Missed this meet by the looks of it, but would be up for one in the future, although I must remember to watch the PH Yorkshire section, ironically this is Derbyshire and as said before this carpark gets very busy!Think I might be out and about on Sunday/ Monday in my car & my new Mountain bike.

What about all the car parks / areas that exist over Ringinglow and beyond on the way down to Yorkshire Bridge? You know wher the climbers park their cars whilst on Stanage or Burbage?
Personally I don't think those areas are big enough. If I'm able to go, I'd need a quite a bit of room to take group photos etc. It would also be quite nice to have a walk around the cars that people have brought without being next to a road. I have the parking area next to Burbage Edge in mind, but if you're thinking of somewhere else then I could be wrong.

Sorry if that's the case. Relatively new to Sheffield and didn't know about that place. Does it get really busy there?Edited by P K Wright on Monday 28th April 19:37

I was driving through Ringinglow with three Americans on board. One eyed the millstone alongside the road and asked what it was.
Marks the boundary of the national park, said I...
NATIONAL PARK? WE'RE GOING THROUGH A NATIONAL PARK? he yelped.
Yes, why...?
YOU HAVE WOLVES AND COYOTES AND BEARS? he asked.
Aye, said I, we have loads of those. They're all really clever as well. They all disguise themselves as sheep.
He didn't see the bloody point...

Yes that's the place.
To be honest you are not going to get wide open spaces in daylight and decent weather to display cars 'in the wild' as it were and have the unhindered space to set up arty farty shoots and with decent backdrops.
What's the surface like up on the tops at Bretton on Sir William Hill white. If you don't know where I mean can provide a link when home.

Yeah, I guessed the perfect location would be hard to find. It's a shame someone doesn't have access to an airfield, that's be perfect. Sorry, I'm not familiar with the tops at Bretton on Sir William Hill white.
