Weirdly I was only thinking 2 days earlier when I was checking tyre pressures how refreshing it was to still have the original valve caps after 18 months.

The car does need washing though

Wonder if it was the same scrote that nicked three of the four cobra valve caps of my mustang (whilst it was on the drive) last week, they even brought a spanner to get them off (which I now own because they dropped it when they ran off) almost five and a half years they lasted - little sts, I didn’t buy them they came with the car so it’s back to black plastic caps.

I was tempted to keep a bucket of cold water on standby for a couple of days just encase they came back for the last one.

I’ll always remember the day I returned home in my Focus ST and my brother was outside cleaning his car, and a child on a pushbike actually said “Why don’t you have good valve caps so we can nick them for our bikes” like it was some sort of acceptable thing to do.

I spotted this in York this morning too. Also saw a TVR Tuscan with a PH smiley just before 9am near (Poppleton P&R?) - not local so not sure exactly!
