Anyone doing the "Mini Miglia" next month?
Discussion
Omigod I would so loved to have done this! I've just arranged to work on Saturday too!
I've entered a sprint at Rockingham for next Sunday in my little smart roadster and I could have done this the day before. That would have been great fun!
My wife and I did some road rallying some years ago and the Mini Miglia was our very first event. We were in a 105E Anglia and we didn't finish last. (That's my aim on Sunday too - to not be last! )
Boo hoo!

I've just spotted that the "finals" give the start address as NWA Auctions J36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands, Milnthorpe, Cumbria LA7 7FP
BUT, if you just use that postcode in sat nav you'll be stuffed. As per the website I think you'll be better off using LA7 7NU if you don't already know where the place is. It's pretty hard to miss I think.
Oh and I think lunch could be at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes.
Oi, you're starting to sound like a nav, sort it out BUT, if you just use that postcode in sat nav you'll be stuffed. As per the website I think you'll be better off using LA7 7NU if you don't already know where the place is. It's pretty hard to miss I think.

"Fully working" is the only entry criteria, no need for anything flash!
For photos we've no idea of the route or timings until Saturday, except the start and end, and that "lunch" is probably Hawes Creamery. Although if you park yourself on ANY tiny road between the M6 and Colne we're probably going to be on it at some point...

As usual my rally car is in its component parts and on fire just 36 hours before the start
Stop being an old woman It was all finished and put back together in plenty of time. And it wasn't a fire.... well, perhaps a 'controlled' one.... it was just some sound insulation that someone hadn't removed from the floor pan. Actually, it was the sound insulation that was holding the floor together! It's now all welded and strong enough to take all sizes of driver and navigator

Yes, fire, don't you ever have car fires?
Michael, l've decided I want the roof out for tomorrow, can you nip round and sort it? You'll need to take the cage out first...
No problem. I've thought of a quicker way. I'll pop round with the angle grinder and just cut out the centre section of the roll cage....... Michael, l've decided I want the roof out for tomorrow, can you nip round and sort it? You'll need to take the cage out first...
I watched Rally Mexico as preparation. I learned that Kubica is not a good role model (or is that roll model?).
I'm finally ready. The car has lethally slippy tyres on the back and I have an injured clutch foot from an altercation with a large wind blown gate tonight. Perfect preparation
Annoyingly my formerly clean car is covered in wind blown grit too, not that that'll matter much once we start.
See you all in the morning!
