frown

How many people hit or swerved round or slammed all on for pheasants near Malton today?

I missed one by inches (I was sure I was going to hit it)

My major gripe with them we'd wondered down that end and they were playing Akon - I want to fk you. Not entirely the most sensible choice with kids about

Out of interest did any of you ask them to turn it down/off?

I doubt they would have been able to hear us.

I would have but without my post count I'm nothing.

It's become a victim of its own success unfortunately. I've never seen it so busy as yesterday (admittedly the good weather/Easter weekend were major factors), and cars were being turned away by 10. With space limited it's a shame there were quite a lot of 'ordinary' cars taking up space. I know, the owners have every right to be there, but it reduced space for the more interesting stuff. Don't know what the answer is really.

Given that the event is to raise funds for the Yorkshire AA, it's a bit sad that some landowners actively prevent parking on their sites; maybe it has insurance/security/liability implications?

I'm thinking that much like the idiots with the loud inappropriate music (I was parked right in front of them and yes it was awful!) the land owners are confusing this type of event with a stereotypical "cruise" and fear their buildings being damaged by or their car parks covered in tyre marks. The Corsa kids won't have exactly done much to convince them otherwise of this.

In all honesty the stink of weed in the air was more of a concern than some loud music (Although the music was very cringeworthy).

Looks like a good selection of cars, it's a shame I couldn't make it.

I don't think they'd be able to organise it any better than it already is. If they decided to group cars by marque or 'rarity', you'd end up with one car park containing all of the Italian cars, which would have a queue of people waiting to get in. At least this way the only bottleneck is usually at the entrance to the showroom.

The other option is to turn away people in 'boring' cars, which wouldn't be in the spirit of an event for car enthusiasts.

I really enjoyed this show but as I were in a standard car I didn't know where I should park. They should set up somewhere that standard cars could park. The only thing that bothered me was the amoun of people parking on or blocking dropkerbs as I regularly got stuck on on the footpath
