Hi this is Shak from Shaks Specialist Cars Ltd or SSC Ltd. I have been directed to the piston heads forum from a customer of mine who has seen the comments posted.

I have read the comments and now very concerned if customers are enquiring regarding vehicles and not getting the response back from team this is something I must be made aware of straight away. Firstly I wish to apologise to those who had no contact from the team at SSC.

the feedback from Bobbo and Predding, you guys have never dealt with my company you can contact me direct, I get a lot of repeat business not just from the UK but from many parts of the world. I take pride in my business and always try to supply the highest spec and quality vehicles. With regards to warranty, mainly our cars come with the remainder of Manufacture Warranty, those cars that do not we supply them with warranties from 3 months to 12 months depending on the deal and the car, the Warranties we supply have to be of a high standard and do not believe in supplying clients with 12 months warranties that are not worth the paper they are written on.

You can always contact myself direct on shak@s-s-c.co.uk

Once again really appreciate all your comments and hopefully have answered the questions to those who were concerned, I was concerned hence the comments I have posted on the group.

Sorry just realised Predding.... infact you have just purchased your new car from SSC last week, hope you are enjoying the vehicle, and you seen how hard we worked with you on this deal.

Comments noted

You do endeavour to go the extra mile BUT in reality the communications were less than stellar. Messages left and not replied to and I had to do all the number crunching every step of the way to make the deal happen right to the 11th hour and 59th minute.

There is also a disingenuity with the numbers stated in the negotiation as a tactic to get me to upgrade my offer ie that you state you will only get xxxx for it in trade-in yet now I see my car on your site at exactly the retail price I suggested and allowing for cost of the sale you will make a good margin

In conclusion I also believe if I had not written my professional closure email the deal would have been dead in the water ie it should have been Shaks writing the email to rescue the deal.

The final reason the deal went through was through my personal tenacity and the fact I had checked the provenance of the car through my own contacts ie I had to separate the purchasing process from the actual product.

You may have a good range of high-end stock but if you want to move to the next level you need to add resource to your sales team as 1 guy cannot field transaction calls and sell cars

In conclusion, I am very happy with the car but only because of the research I did, and battling hard to get the service included which at the end of the day I even had to downgrade to find you the numbers you were looking for post deal agreement.

I trust you will take the above comments constructively and look forward to all the documents promised in the post in the next few days.

Regards
P Redding

Hi Paul, appreciate you comments and yes we have taken all your comments on board, shame I didn't get to meet you on both occasions as I was out buying more stock. As you seen I have a lot of staff and its better for one person to deal with there client then have different sales members getting involved. Yes you did do a lot of hardwork and so did Adam for the deal to happen. Your car is advertised at the price so we can recover the loss we made on the vehicle we sold you? You know how tight the deal was.

All documents have been taken care off but they won't be sent until we receive them back from DVLA as they are all sent on Monday along with other plate transfer paperwork, as soon as they are back we will send recorded post to you.

Regards

Shak

Comments noted however when I receive a call yesterday evening from Adam, a full WEEK after the deal is closed, asking where the tax disc is for the car I traded-in, when it was clearly stated twice during the transaction that there was no tax, this is a classic example of the kind of niggling communications I had throughout the deal and selective memory loss.

Your claim of 'financial loss' can be matched by the £500 loss I had to make at the 11th hour and 59th minute on the deal when Shaks reneged on the agreed trade-in price, citing slight wear on the two front wheels of my car; this would have been an acceptable comment EXCEPT for the matching observation I made on the car I bought from you which had scratches on the rear offside wing, many bonnet chips and fuel filler scratches and corrosion not specifically mentioned which would have been far in excess of the £500 Shaks were asking to repair my car. I even offered to go 50/50 on this and was turned down flat forcing me to reduce the full Audi service as agreed to a simple oil change service to find Shak's the numbers.

Like I said above I did all the hard work to find the numbers.

After a great weekend away, I had just managed to put this experience behind me but Adam's call last night just confirms all my experiences that, save for it being a great car, the buying process was anything but.

If you can let me have your personal email address (Adam has my email), please feel free to contact me direct to take this offline

Again apologise regarding the road tax issue on your car, the call he made was only to ask if the car had road tax Paul and nothing else

I did give him an ear full and said why have you contacted Paul for? This is something you should have known about from before, you have dealt with him Paul I think his wedding prep is taking his mind of business!!!!

With regards to scratches and chips you are saying, you was with the car for many hours and had plenty of time to fully inspect the car yourself and you was happy to proceed.

My email address is shak@s-s-c.co.uk and we can discuss this further Paul if you want to send me an email direct

This ^^

Read here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Why has this thread been allowed to run?

Edit: Is this a Shakatak? Maybe we should be humming 'Easier said than done'. hehe

(Sorry!)

I had no idea of the thread and to be honest don't really have the time to go on and check forums. A client who had recently purchased a car from me directed me to the site and comments. I then registered and replied, yes we cant keep everybody happy but as a business we go out of our way to help clients and have a very successful repeat customer base for many years.

so those who have not dealt with SSC and have only heard rumours from ppl, don't always believe what you hear and give us a try yourself.....

The last post(deleted) dredged this topic up after nearly a year. To be fair, everyone seems to have had a fairly balanced input so we will leave it here.

Thanks :-)
