For info a number of roads in Leeds city centre are being closed from 4pm tomorrow afternooon for a parade.
Those working in town may want to make alternative travel arrangements.
We just had an email about this at work. The big ones to note are closures on Wellington Street, Woodhouse Lane and the Claypit Lane Sheepscar junction. Those working in town may want to make alternative travel arrangements.
Closures begin at 4 and will be completed by 5:30. The roads will then remain closed until after 10pm.
It's going to be a fun journey home tomorrow.
Yorkshire, an area best accessed via it's road network, a network whose primary arteries are the very roads that are to be closed, is going to be a bloody mess all around this weekend.
If you go take a look at the maps it's all the major roads that serve as primary routes to the places people need to get to watch this event, that are the ones being closed.
Yet all the truly great roads are the ones being missed.
If it can go through a town, it does. Money money money!

Anyone know what the roads surrounding the course have been like today? Got an idea to follow the race tomorrow waiting at certain sections. Obviously there are some parts where you have to go pretty far for an alternate route but i think it should be doable on the motorbike if the traffic isn't too bad.

terrible.Lots of people parking up on the approaches to the route and in villages near the route. So surrounding roads absolutely full of pedestrians / cyclists / cars looking for somewhere to park.
And you will find that as soon as the pelleton is past then the roads are blocked by everyone leaving. Remember people arrive in dribs and drabs but everyone wants to leave at the same time.
