What location?

If in/near Leeds then Cramag are a very decent lot. They're in Yeadon/Guiseley

To be fair I wouldn't know as I've only had an MOT dealing with them as my car was still in a service pack, but they seemed like a decent bunch. The few quotes I had for brakes and something else (can't remember what) seemed reasonable.

Plus it's not that far from Bingley really

Bingley? How about ten mins over the tops in Haworth?

Talkwrench on here. High recommended by me, Benjj and several others on here.

He sorted my Z4 electrics out when I left the roof down over night in the pouring rain. This involved not replacing various ECUs and modules, but rebuilding and fixing them.

Oh, I have also trusted him to take the engines to pieces on a couple of my Ferraris as, he probably knows more about how the internal combustion engine works than your average main dealer technician. That's because he's an engineer.

I have had a real problem finding a good BM Indy in Leeds over the last few years and tried all the usual names like B&M Care/German Autocare and Cramag.

I haven't had bad experiences from either but I've never been 100% satisfied. A few months ago I heard about Anthony who runs The BM Workshop in Leeds and I would highly recommend him to anyone. My car(s) will now not go anywhere else.

Anthony has recently fully serviced my E92 M3 and also tended to a few little bits that I wanted sorted out. Refreshingly he's a really genuine guy and takes real pride in his work. He has a dealer background of course but unlike them actually problem solves like a true (old school) mechanic and isn't happy until he has found the root of any problem.

Apologies for the slightly evangelistic post but I'm confident that once anyone has used Anthony you'll probably share my views.

(I have no direct links to The BM Workshop so hope posting the above web link doesn't contravene some PH rules)

I had my car into Cramag a couple of weeks ago. Done a bit of research and heard good things about them. No major work was required but they did a good job and I will be going back.

100% Cramag for me.... Used them several times and been around donkey's years good guys that know there stuff they always try to repair rather than replace and certainly not expense and I like to have a look at the cars for sale www.cramag.com some times some of the owners Classic BMW's are there he's a real BMW enthusiast apparently... Is BM Works the one that's only just opened of Roseville road.?

Anthony at The BM Workshop is just off Roseville Road on a small industrial estate behind Wilco Motosave (almost hidden), although another BM Specialist has literally just opened round there too. I popped in a few months ago as they were just setting up. They sounded ok but I don't think we're really ready for customers at the time.

That's when I found Anthony and my car will now go nowhere else...

Another vote for Anthony at BMWorkshop, he's got my 550i in at the minute for some minor jobs..

What I really like is he doesn't rush you off the phone and is happy to txt updates and answer questiones even out of hours.

Pick it up in the morning - I can't wait!
