Croft rallying today

Highly recommended. But as most threads seem to be about where to live , and the last motorsport thread had just the one post I shall probably be on my own then ...

After the farce of trying to get in last year, I decided to give it a miss this year,

A good days rallying and by comparison to other years quite mild.

Last year I had to wait 15 minutes to get in , having arrived at 8-30;this year I got there at 7.45 and drove straight in. Excellent day, very icy early on keeping the pace down but some heroic driving , an especial star being the pilot of the dark blue Sunbeam Lotus

they almost sorted the parking.

I turned up at 9:30 and took 20 mins to get in - queue stretched back to the X roads!

still in time for the first stage. Procter went off at the first bend/junction for 20 seconds and still ended up 2nd fastest!! car 46 being quickest and stayed in the top 5 all day?

Only 4x4s were put in the field, everyone else directed to various places around the circuit - I was placed in the entrance to the service area.

And again tomorrow ; entry list good too, especially if you like 6R4s and Mk 2s
