Does seem a bit extreme really, but it comes down to perverting the course of justice.
It was actually a LASER JAMMER that he had.
The same guys was caught in 2010 for the same sort of thing and was warned about it, so he has been avoiding fines+points for quite a while then.
2 month Jail sentence and 6 month ban and £1000 fine! Looks like NYP are trying to set an example with the sentence.
