Hi

Has anyone knowledge of these two guys, both seem spot on!!! (based on experience, not hearsay 😜)

I am Looking at a full repaint, where my number one outcome is the quality of the job - I don't want a "Sadolin smile", I want to look in my garage in 3 years time and still go WOW!!!!

Thanks

😃

Hi there, following on from many, MANY positive recommendations for Chris Gregory, my Tuscan is currently with him having a full respray, although I have only seen one picture up to now...

I chose the colour and bought/supplied the paint to him and he is doing it on a labour only basis, however it started off as a right mess...

I know this isn't the best of examples up to now as I don't have any more pictures but a lot of people speak very highly of him. Has a lot of nice cars through his door as well so judge from that what you will.

On another note, WOW to your car sir, I doth my cap to you!! I am a big fan of Alfa's and yours is a absolute peach. I would LOVE to see that some day, where in the country do you reside?

Cheers

Ryan

Personally, and having used him for a Tuscan with really odd Alfa paint, not flip, but near as dammit, I'd recommend Ian Ellis at Motor Body Cosmetics in Elvington.

He often has really high end kit in, DB5 type stuff......

Really great guy and as honest as the day's long.

Hi Ryan

Your TVR looks fantastic, those pictures speak volumes in a positive way.
I am between Leeds/York.
A gruff sounding (Rover V8??) sounds better than a 4 potter. - ha ha.

Cheers

Used Mark @ MW Bodyworks several times from bumper paints to panel replacement to FULL strip down and repaint would not hesitate to recomend him. Paint finish is excellent 3 years since a full strip down and the paint still looks as fresh as the day he painted it.

Looked great up until I sold it, about 2 years later?!

He used to work on touring cars as well back in the day, proper petrol head is Ian.

Straight 6 not the V8 in the Tuscan, of which mine is an early one. Still sounds epic though!! I'd be more than happy to drop by once I've got it back for you to take a look at in exchange for a browse at your machine?! Or you could drop in to see Chris whilst it's still there, if he's okay with it I'm more than happy for you to look mine over?

Chris Gregory, without doubt one of the best painters in the region. Has done several jobs for me and works on some fantastic machinery.

have to agree with burriana. I got my right front panel repaired after a co-op internal metal trolley blew into it in the wind. He did an absolute cracking job. Even picked me up and dropped me off at the nearby train station so i didn't have to get a taxi!

Is there really another Ian Ellis??? apart from the well known Alfa restorer?.

I'd also recommend Mark at MW also in Elvington by the way.

It's good these types of places exist if you want good work!

I had a rear bumper done by a chap in Tadcaster, think it was £380 and it had bits in the clear coat, unfinished marks pre-painting (bought a near mint used bumper with the odd mark) and lacquer runs, and a small patch I noticed today while washing the car that was never rubbed down at all. Bit crap that £400 isn't enough to get absolutely flawless work on s bumper these days!

How much is Gregory, and might he do wheels?

Cheers

Dave

Hope it turns out as you hope! Can't wait to see the finished product, I've never seen one of those beauty's on the road. I popped my head in at Chris Gregory's today to say thanks & they're currently working on, amongst other things, a TVR Tamora, a classic Volvo, a Ferrari 599 GTB & a Ferrari Dino! Anyway mine came out well...

spider dropped off with Mark yesterday...much giddiness...can't wait!!!

He had a man hitting the Spider with a hammer to get the dents out. Thankfully he wasn't like Dougal In the episode of Father Ted where they have a Rover 200 as a lottery prize - ha ha!!

WOW!!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic, picked up the Spider today, can't thank Mark and Adrian enough for a superb job on a full repaint. I doubt it looked that good when new.

Here is a picture from my tablet, not great quality image wise, but I will pop some more on.

Cheers boys
