So a turbo boxer 4 pot, NA straight 6, twin (tiny) turbo V6, supercharged V8 and a NA V10. Anyone else up for it?

Turboman, just as a heads up, the pace won't be anywhere near as fast as some of the runs we have had over towards East Yorkshire. Some of these roads are fairly tight and twisty rather than high speed. I don't want you to drive all the way over and be disappointed smile

Thanks for the heads up Al......the car is frustrating me as with any fast car there is just nowhere to sensibly explore it's abilities

I guess this run might allow me to get to grips with the handling if nothing else!

The meet point will be within a few miles radius of Harrogate - will confirm the details by email once we know who is coming (make sure your profile is set to allow emails).

We will set off at 06:00 and be back for breakfast by 8-8:30 at a nice spot again, within a few miles of Harrogate.

This has two main benefits. a) There is hardly anything else on the road at that time and b) we can be home by not long after 9am with the full day to do other stuff.

We will be going over some fantastic roads and scenery - IF, it's not peeing down!

Just had my mechanic on phone letting me listen to my car running in background biggrin ..... so all being well I might get it back on Sat morning, so in theory could maybe do this!
Not sure if its a bit much too soon for my newly rebuild engine tho! However he has said don't pussyfoot about in it to run it in, so might see what he thinks when I pick it up - maybe a 'spirited' drive would be ideal.
Completely love the fact that when I look at the cars going out I wonder/worry if I'll keep up when I've 'only' got 320bhp and 4WD ha ha....fantastic smile

I've got a pitiful ~300bhp with 4WD and a load of weight (both car and driver), you'll be reet.

Al, Can you include me in the email, just in case I can make it. I'll either do this early run or the Leeds cruise the night before. Both would be too much!

Abso-bloody-lutely! In fact, it is a little known ancient PH rule that every drive out MUST include an 8-series. And we don't mean a Volvo.

It isn't going to be super fast John... be good to see you again. Get your name added below! smile

I'm getting excited for this now biggrin

Weather isn't looking brilliant, but the rain looks to be coming on Saturday and leaving us just mildly moist for Sunday.. which is nice.

In a cruel twist of fate the R8 is currently out of action, albeit temporarily...

Went to do my weekly tyre pressure check yesterday in anticipation of Sunday, and the flipping valve on one of the tyres broke off.....leaving me with a flat tyre....had to get the car recovered 1/2 mile home and now awaiting Audi getting me a new valve which they say will be here by tomorrow...then need to find a mobile tyre fitter to fit, and I should be good to go!

Funny that, my mate has an R8 and that had problems on the way down to Le Mans yesterday. The Ferraris, Lamborghinis and TVR were fine wink
