Happy to meet anywhere but somewhere with some food would be ideal. Somewhere on the a64 towars Scarborough, there are loads of places to get food?
Il also bring a long my go pro, if anyone would be willing to let me attach it to their car via a suction pad?
George - just for your info, the usual format is meet about 05:45 for an 06:00 departure. If you choose to meet at a petrol station that has a coffee machine, result, but otherwise, grab something before you leave home.
The drive then ends a couple of hours later at a cafe/inn of some sort for breakfast - then home for 09:00 to keep everyone happy

The problem is, those of us who have organised these runs for a decade or more have either moved area or moved on a bit, and the group of regulars has dissipated.
We now have a case of a lot of strangers who don't know each other, let alone how they drive. And that is the crux. You simply don't want to go on quite a brisk drive with someone who is out to prove something, or takes unnecessary risks because they think they are Bobby big bollx.
I no longer have a particularly quick car but am planning to have a nice early run out on Sunday (14th) IF the weather is decent.
I am setting off from the Harrogate/Knaresborough area at 6am, will do about 120 miles up into the Dales and finish for full breakfast at the usual nice country Inn ten mins from Harrogate. There will be a few photo stops, mainly because the scenery is stunning.
The roads will not however be best suited to very low slung cars. The Testarossa and 348 were ok, but anything much lower or stiffer and you would have a bumpy ride
Am happy to have company so long as you accept that it will be brisk but sensible - I only have a little engine now
If the weather is inclement, I will put it off until the following week.
As a taster - taken from a previous run

Ive done a few, the last i remember was one with the S2k owners club which ended in Whitby i think (and on the way back to Helmsley i got lost!) and another which ended up outside Barnard castle which was great as they let us park right outside, but god that was a fair few years ago now!
I would love to take my car out, she has been so neglected stuck in traffic on the daily commute to work!
