Ok folks, I know the M62 stretch towards Manchester quite well but what is it like for a commute? I will be commuting regularity towards Altrincham south Manchester so the route would be M606, M62, M60 anti-clockwise round to J 6. Travelling at 0630-0730 and then back at around 1730.
I've been down there many times in the past but not during rush hour.
Anyone out there do a similar route, what's it like? It's going to be a regular journey for me but I can't help thinking of the miserable hours I'll end up fighting through the traffic.

Cheers.

Travelling home will be slow at that time around the M60 either direction. M62 itself is fine.

Travelling there would not be too bad providing no accidents and weather dry, in my experience travelling Leeds to Trafford Centre (so only a few jcts shorter) and Leeds to Cheadle.

Fine on the way at that time. The way back probably won't be much fun.

my experience is it's a very hit and miss journey in either direction
