The area mentioned, is not an area I'd choose for a permanent location. I lived right near the castle for a year and whilst it was ok the Trafalger Square area had a very bad reputation not long ago.

It is however not Eastfield. So it has one plus point at least.

Newby sounds like your best bet to be fair. I've just moved from Scarborough after spending 43 years there. It is past its best, but not too offensive. It will probably take a good few years for a new person to get bored !!
Anywhere around Lady Ediths, etc or newby farm areas have some decent properties.
Good luck with your planned move......oh, and don't forget Mark at Specialist cars of Malton organises the best meet (probably in the country ) twice a year :-)
