where does everyone drive to. The bikers have Squires Café in Shadwell Leeds , the London Guys have Ace Café, the North West Car Drivers have the GT Café at Warrington. Where do you all the Yorkshire drivers go.

I want to get my Teal on the road in spring and am looking for places to go other than the organised monthly meet, where there is the opportunity to meet other PH's.

It seems to me that there is no café venue in Yorkshire that we can just call in on spec and know that there will be other drivers there for a natter

Suggestions welcome

The Carding Shed at Holmfirth is probably the best bet.

B&Q/Burger King carpark off the M621 Leeds on certain Sat eves in Summer. Mainly American, but other stuff of interest turns up too.

Thanks guys I have been the seahouse café on the way to the coast, a very nice cuppa and chat. Havant been to the carding place at Holmfirth yet.

I'm in East York's and was thinking of somewhere in the Yorkshire Wolds area,

Maybe we should all agree to frequent a place and develop a café'n chat stop

Would be good to sort something. Seaways is too full of bikers. Will have a think as to where there is somewhere suitable.

I'm in Selby area, so count me in on an east yorks meet! Though I don't like getting the Countach wet, it's cost me too much!

I think it's a great idea - will rack my brains for a cafe which has parking facilities. First thoughts were:

Wolds Village at Bainton (this used to be a great place, but haven't been for a few years)
Ramblers Rest at Millington (although a little out the way)

Will have a better think, but count me in either way.

Squires is usually plenty full of cars too, though on a busy day you'll struggle to get in the main car park for the bikers. Still holds a fair few marque-specific meets every month, Jap meet in particular is busy in the fairer-weathered months.

Id be up for a decent, regular meeting point though - will need to put some miles on my new engine anyway.

And for "speed awareness" pseudo police handing out leaflets after witnessing 3 overtakes wink

A regular West Yorkshire (ish) meet would be good once the weather improves. I only made it the Squires Jap meet once snd that was a few years back.
