If it is exterior work I wouldn't bother until the weather picks up. The paint won't adhere properly because of the dampness. So any works done will not last. If you need any repairs doing I would recommend using RepairCare rather than traditional wood filler as it is guarateed 10 years and unlike filler it will flex with the wood because it chemically bonds to the wood. We always use it for our high end clients.
