I dont let anyone other than Russ and Tim at Jorvik Engineering touch my wheels. Just had 2 sets of wheels changed from grey to red for my race car. They've done various road car wheels for me in the past, on one car Ive owned for 8 years (the wheels done by them 7 years ago) and the wheels are still like new. Better than OEM finish IMO.

And a big vote for Russ and Tim from me too. They've done quite a few sets of rims for me over the years and the finish and durability has always been spot on. Competitively priced too.

I've heard Yorvik can have a bit of a waiting list at times. However I've also heard bad things about Murton, although they came from my friend who works at Kwik-Fit. Something about a chemical clean they offer thatm does more long term damage than good.

Many thanks guys, will give Yorvik a call today, I have heard good things about them from other people too.

Do you know if they can do two tone powder coat?

Some of my Porsche wheels will need redoing soon and Tim said he could do a polished edge. Not sure about two tone powder coat though. I think not from discussions I've had.

As mentioned above, they just did the wheels on my Ginetta race car (they came in grey), pics here...

I have always sent wheels to Ian Jemison: http://www.ianjemison.co.uk/

Perfection every time, never had a problem.

Cheers guys for the recommendations

I've book the alloys in at Raw Wheels near the McArthurGlen on the A64. Will upload some photos when I get a chance when they are done.

They quoted £55 per wheel just for normal powder coating and £80 for something with a little bit more detail like I am going for, the 2 tone paint thing.

They've just a full sus frame for me - bike for my Son. They did a cracking job and made sure all the threads were blanked or re-tapped after coating. I would thoroughly recommend them.

It was blue with a metallic flake.

Yes smile
Changed the wheel colour on my old Vantage to darker pearlescent graphite grey.
Real depth in the paint.
