Do speed camera detectors not pick up these cameras then? My old one would tell you which were switched on in Wakey and they seemed to be randomly working throughout the week. They were the old Gatso ones.

I believe Gatsos take you from behind and the Truevelo cameras flash you from the front?

Radar detectors only pick up GATSOS and automatic door openers. I've got one somewhere, probably in the cupboard next to the video recorder and Walkman wink
There are many loopholes like SPECS can't see in the dark and you can do an indicated 60 through them, Truvelos can't get you when you are coming towards them when they are set up for the other side of the road, double headed GATSOS can only work one way and that is the way they are angled downwards etc, but who would be daft/bored enough on their repetitive commute to work to test the theories out whistle

Years ago I had the privilege of spending a weekend doing an ambulance "ride along" as part of my introduction to the NHS. Still one of the most eye opening experiences in my career. Anyway we were called to an RTC up past golden acre park and we got the call just outside the LGI. As we were bombing up otley road I asked the paramedic what the crack was with the speed cameras and he told me that they were intermittently switched on and off, I'm guessing to try and catch folk out. They had to show evidence that their blue lights were on if they had been flashed and as a result the ticket would be cancelled. I presume his view is still valid to this day. Back in the day when I worked at Jimmys I did see a couple of unlucky folk get flashed between the original oak and Hyde Park Corner.

So, nobody gives a fk about your pointless, irrelevant drivel. See a pattern emerging here? PH would be a better place without you.

Just read that comment and thought I'd give my opinion on it. Probably the most uncalled for nasty comment I've ever seen on PH.

hehe And it was only because I said in another thread I wasn't a fan of someone's tile colour choice! Some people take this internet thing too seriously! silly
