Secure parking in Leeds.

My girlfriend currently lives in Leeds and, as I'll be visiting every fortnight/month, I'd prefer to drive down. I'll be visiting for 2-3 days at a time and I'm looking to park my car and not use it for those days. Anybody know of any secure parking?

She lives near Burley Park.

If you're not going to use the car while you're there why not get the train? Burley Park doesn't strike me as the kind of place I'd want to leave a car unattended and there's a train station there, so unless there's an issue getting a train from your end it's bit of a no-brainer.

Getting the train is an option, but as I'd prefer to drive down and pay for secure parking if it was available, I thought I'd ask. I know it isn't the most economical way, but getting a train where I live isn't convenient.

It's just a 2016 Polo GTi, but I suspect it'll get raped in that area.

If you're absolutely intent on driving then the best you can probably do is park in one of Leeds city centre's multi-storey car parks (which will give your wallet a good thrashing and you'll need one that'll let you park continuously for a number of days) and then get the train out to Burley Park.

This. The car park at Burley Park station isn't great and there aren't any multistorey car parks round there. The carparks in both Headingley and Kirkstall are for short term only rather than several days at a time.

Alternatively you could have a look on gumtree for any local parking ads?

I personally wouldn't worry....over the years I left my (bright orange) Exige plenty of times over in Headingly.

Quick aside – Mrs T is looking to replace the trusty Golf GTI, owned since new in 1997 & served us well for +145k miles. Rather than going for another Golf, we did +120k in a GTI before this one and quite happy to stick with what we know, we were considering going for a Polo GTI.
