Did a solo run York-Helmsley-Stokelsey-Blakey Ridge this morning. Was excellent except for far too much wildlife this time of year - had to brake for a fox, a deer, pigeons, rabbits, sheep and numerous pea-brained pheasants!

Lots of nice kit out, aero-screened Caterham, a supercar run in progress over the moor, Ford club on the A64 etc

I was out with SCD today, Wetherby to Olivers Mount via Helmsley. Guess that'd be us you saw although I saw another big bunch of supercars heading towards Scarborough on the A64 when I was on my way home. Also saw the Ford meet up on Scarborough sea front. Loads of them.

Took my daughter with me, she was counting road kill, it was prolific.

What were you in?

Hi, I was in my dark blue S1 Elise. The supercars I saw were on Blakey Ridge heading toward Whitby in the mist, about 8:15ish I think. A 650S, Gallardo I think, load of 911's among others.

We stopped briefly at the Lion Inn at around that time so yeah, was us. Ended up with multiple 911s, Corvette, Aventador, 599, R8, R35, DB11, 12C Spider, 650, M3, Aston etc. The Aventador is drool worthy. Some of the cars are below, I was in the white 911 Turbo.

This is what I often do from Pool, leaving around 6am otherwise too many cyclists and other traffic smile

Did a route similar to that last weekend. Around Hawes, Buttertubs, etc. Absolutely brilliant. Scenery and roads are superb.

OK if you're early, wildlife is the main problem.

Camera vans and unmarked cars appear on the A65 later in the day.

Have fun!

Oooh, that's nice. As an ex-Impreza owner I sometimes have traitorous thoughts that a well-sorted rally-rep is better tool for country roads than my Elise.

Lowly Golf R owner but I am definitely up for a drive, wherever it may be. None of my close friends are in to cars and dragging the missus out with me for a gander often results in her commenting on my driving. Will check back regularly!
