Went down through Headingley on my way to work and turned right into Spring Road 200yds after the Skyrack as usual and received a load of a beeping and pointing. confused Some council muppet has now decided to make Spring Road a No Entry and only 1-way street coming up from Cardigan Rd, just like Bainbridge Rd which runs parallel to it and received the same treatment a few years ago. What the juddering fk? Why would you need two 1-way streets running parallel to each other there? How are you meant to get down on Cardigan Rd now? The lights at St. Michael's Lane take forever to change and only let 1 car through before going back to red so I guess we now have to go down Richmond Avenue and on to Victoria Rd and down that way or down Buckingham Rd and through Royal Park. How long do we think it'll be until Richmond Rd and Ave also become No Entry's ? grumpy

I think it is probably the exact reason you have said to stop people going through to get onto cardigan road. I'm actually surprised they didn't do it sooner as all they did when they made the other road one way was send everyone past the school on spring road.

You could never down more than 10-15mph down there though due to the parked cars and positioning of the speed humps so it was never an issue.

I've noticed that despite it now being some weeks later people are still ignoring the no entry signs and turning down there eek. Braver than me! I've also noticed that now everyone is using the Manor estate as the rat run (Richmond Ave) and it's getting gridlocked at the junction at the bottom where people can't get in or out due to the parked cars. All it's done is moved the "problem" 400 yards further up the road when Spring Rd was never a problem to begin with. Personally I use Buckingham Rd now to drop down onto Victoria Rd then back down to Cardigan Rd.
