Late Sunday afternoon a white BMW M1 approaching Wetherby.
That would be me, thanks for the spot! Just taking the other half for a quick blast, only the 2nd time out this year, the first being a very short trip to check for leaks etc. Seem to have picked up a misfire under load though with needs investigating.
I assume it was you in the maroon TVR, is that Chianti Starmist?
The 'maroon' is called Masala Red - only TVR could come up with that name. It was my first proper run out this year - had other half screaming on the twisty bits on way to Knaresborough
Misfire under load is most often a faulty plug lead breaking down.

Hehe, I think if I did that there would be more than screaming!N7GTX said:

Yeah, I'll pull the plugs first and see if they indicate anything. There are also some long connectors from the HT leads to the plugs that could be the cause, or some water/damp might have got in the plug wells, I'll check the drains too. I've also got a spare rotor arm and distributor cap, so I can replace them if needed too.The problem with the leads is that they are all braided together down a metal tube, makes replacing them a little more difficult than normal.

I love the mini.
Was that Astra GTE also in Harrogate? There was one identical in a showroom in Brighouse when I was there a while back. Had to nip in for a proper look.
The Mini was an N-reg, but done up like a 60s Austin Cooper S. Looked lovely. Was that Astra GTE also in Harrogate? There was one identical in a showroom in Brighouse when I was there a while back. Had to nip in for a proper look.
The GTE is in Jem's Speed Shop in Batley along with a Mk1 GTi, 190E, E36 M3 and the Trabant.
I love the Vitesse as well, it just looks so 'right.'
