He bought a new Turbo R from me in the early 90's, a nicer Gentleman you could not wish to meet, when I delivered the car to him he gave me a cup of coffee in his vast kitchen and gave me a tour of his home and was very friendly. If ever I needed to speak to him and called the head office switchboard I'd often be put straight through to him if his secretary was away from her desk and if he was unavailable he would always call back and was happy to chat, a real proper bloke. Richest man I ever sold a car to.

A good friend of mine who works in finance was headhunted to work at Midland at Morrisons when it was first launched. He met Sir Ken many times and has plenty of amusing anecdotes to tell. He sounded like a great chap.

RIP Sir Ken.

An absolute Gentleman, I had the pleasure of meeting him socially a few times, it was also a memorable experience visiting his home Myton Hall, a Grand house for a Grand Bloke. R.I.P Ken.

I saw him in Morrisons at Boroughbridge years ago.
He was wheeling his trolley with a normal weekly shop to the checkout.
He joined the queue, unloaded it himself, and payed just like anyone else.
Spoke and seemed quite normal..
