Now Joolz is no longer on the servicing scene

Who do I trust to give Barbie (4.0 Chim) her annual fettle and MOT?

West Yorkshire ideally, but always willing to travel for the right man...

He doesn't have a WAP version yet, and I'm pleased to report that I've avoided being given a raspberry, for now.

HLG are a main franchise rather than an indie, so yes it will be a bit more expensive. I've had very good experience with them and I know that Joolz had good things to say too.

If you wanted to stay in Yorkshire there is an indie, Sports and Specialist, in Tadcaster (I think). No personal experience I can comment on, sorry.

S&SCC is in Boroughbridge, but the chap who does his servicing is Tom at T&J motors. 'Fraid I can't tell you where it is, despite the fact that I work in Boroughbridge...

Is that John Waggits place?

If so then my mate Nige speaks very highly of him. (They used to share a hose and rubber boots apparently. )

So let's see Mike. You don't like the old HHC. You don't like the new HHC. You don't seem to like Jon Waggitt. It's a good job you've got rid of your Chim mate because you're running out of options.

I love everyone.

With the following exceptions: Cider with Cerbie, Ribol, BJ Woods (woodsy), Mungo, Los Angeles, Tottenham supporters (all), David Dickinson, Australians, Chugaboom, JR, The BBC, That bloke in a Rover Vitesse that wouldnt let me through on the A1, chavs, Germans, Dale Winton, Oxbow (just joking m8), Arsenal supporters, did I mention Cider with Cerbie, Martians, Ken Dodd and his Diddymen, Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen, Ken Barlow, Barbie and Ken, Sir Trevor McDonald, SXS, Robert Mugabe, Ian McCartney, Arjuna Ranatunga, The Cabinet, anyone with a goatee, the late Idi Amin, Ken Livingstone, Princess Michael of Kent..........

ps - what has Arjuna Ranatunga ever done to hurt anyone ? He of the rotund cricketer type?

Never liked him.

Do you remember when he threatened to take the team off in 1999 V England because that chucker Muralitharan (I forgot him - add him to the list) was called for throwing?

I thought long and hard about puting his colleague Pramodya Wickramasinghe on the list as well and if I could spell / pronounce his name I would.

Couldnt avoid it.
Now expected to be on line 24/7.
At least the unread e-mails in my inbox might drop below 300 if I have a day out of the office.

Hi Chaps,

Depends if you want a 'dealer specialist' stamp but I use a guy in Steeton (near Skipton) called Ian Greenwood. He works from home and has a ramp in his garage. Does a great job and really friendly and good value for money only prob is that you dont get that 'known specialist stamp in the book' but I prefer to know who is doing the work as opposed to giving it to someone like HHC who put 'young john boy the monkey on to it'!! I have had loads done to my car from basic Servicing to diff recon, prop UJ recon, Drive shaft UJ recon etc... and Ian has done (or sorted) the lot. Things I cant do myself I go to Ian. Even if you just want to have a look under the car and a check up he will only charge £30 an hour. He has lots of experience with TVRs and is in the process of building a Tasmin racer.

Lig.
