Who was it at 103mph A64?

was getting a little worried. glad it isn't me, but I do feel sorry for the poor chap getting caught - it's easy to say that 103mph is a tad naughty on an A road, but it is so easily done in these cars, and the A64 is generally a pretty good road.
OI! Both of yers....
I did go to that fund-raising thingummyjig, although unfortunately my Dad's car was off the road (that is, all except the road which was clearly ON the road) and by the time we had procrastinated over his car and got lost in East Leeds for an hour we found. Then we promptly turned round and went home as we seemed to be on our own!
Edited: To say that that last sentence wasn't intended to be a dig, simply a statement of the lack of organisation by the um, err, organisers.

It sounds like I can have my first good night's sleep since Sunday. I was on the A64 on Saturday morning (Dual carriage way bit)and was just about to put the radar detector up for sale on E bay to help with the costs of taxi's and fines until I read Gemini's latest posting. Will keep hold of it for a bit longer now and get my faulty speedo seen to.
PS. Has any one had a similar problem with the speedo on a Tuscan. It works OK for a while then stops altogether. (Even the digital speedo reads zero and no miles are recorded). Then after a few miles or a stop and go it may start to work again. I think there may be a speed sensor somewhere but cannot seem to locate it ?

Sounds like your sensor may be on the way out. It's a pretty regular occurence.
It's on the passenger side rear of the diff casing and reads a toothed wheel on the driveshaft flange.
