You could commute from Wetherby, but it's footballer territory or so I hear

You could also try Bardsey, but you may need a lotto win...

I live very near York Road myself, If there are any parties going on it is neighbourly to invite me

I think I know the place with the XJR down there! Small world! I am sure there are more house parties to come soon lol

I used to live ON Wellington Street in Atlantic Apartments. Why not look for a city pad ? Theres plenty around but they arent cheap.

I dunno if they are still around as Im now back in South Yorks but Morgan did most of the rentals at the time.

Linton used to be in the glory days. Most of Leeds' players live in Seacroft now

Hopefully not where the Bungalow used to be on the Way into Barwick. That has caused a lot of "bad blood" with the developer. Scholes has been pretty good in fighting off developers trying to put 30 houses onto farmland or old orchards.

Unfortunatly yes, thats the one although its a bit of a mess at the min - planning gone through after 3 years now land owner wants more money etc etc etc.

Lots of people have been approached in Barwick to buy their houses and build more (most current houses have lots of land with them.) Hence the bad blood. I can understand the reasons why; small village people want to keep it that way etc etc

Dont know whats happening at the min, another builder has planning in barwick but i dont know where, 3 bed townhouses were mentioned.

If you are just putting the one house up I don't see any problems. The developer originally went for three blocks of three storey flats which went down well!!! Area is looking up. After the Gallardo heading in to Scholes(turned into Rakehill Road), came the White Countach coming out!!

It's the one just going in from Scholes just after the speed bumps. If it is that one that was the developers original plan(talked to the local parish councillor), Hence the time the land has been empty. I'd have thought that would be acceptable and give you a nice garden as well.

Hi

I've not heard anything for ages now about the houses - i went to the leeds planning to see the plans a couple of months ago and they were 3/4 bed semi's. BUT the other builder has got planning for the 3 bed townhouses so i think the builder is re-applying
Dont know if it will happen - our house has been on the market for 6 weeks and only one viewing

Yep, might have a word with the guy over the road and see if I can find out. I'm at the other end of Scholes tucked away behind Woosters and a bit.

thenomad you need to have a nosy round. There is a two bed detached Bungalow on the Avenue and you have just missed a modern Detached on the other side. Buses are a bit of a pain but this is pistonheads!!

Bramhope just north of Leeds is nice, but all depends on how much money you have to spend and what kind of house you are looking for. Some nice areas, but lots of others you should avoid.

Didn't read every post but no-one seems to have mentioned Armley. There are some redeveloped big buildings with cool flats in, and it's an easy cycle ride down the armley old road straight onto Wellington Street. Try Old School lofts through Headingley Lets, www.he-re.com and I think this outfit have some up there too, www.morrisprops.com

Welcome to the happenin' city
