Yay, slowest car here
Doing new discs, pads, and fluid tomorrow, given it an MOT checklist run over, and replaced my undertray for a bit more stability. Front wishbone rear mounts are a bit worn, so I'll get them sorted too.

Forecast is favourable (cold enough for us with forced induction) ]
and that'll be, er...er...ah yes, Stu!
Blimey Dave, go easy on the car, it's only a quick blast before breakfast. I'm only getting a new set of tyres put on because the backs look like slicks, and I might give it a once over with a damp tea towel
Recce completed this morning (later time of day), 1h 30 mins at a stroll. No serious concerns on the route, apart from a few muddy bits, thanks to all the Farmer Giles' out there and part of the route (already the boring bit) has some roadworks which I'll have to tell eveyone about.
Breakfast stop also checked and ready for us at 8 am.
So it all looks good and yes Al, the cold damp air is indeed leading to a discenable motive improvement!
Now, have you scrubbed those F1's in properly?

Glad everybody got round safe and sound, except for 1 poor soul (more of that later).
Weather wasn't the best, bit of moisture in the air and on the roads, but pretty much all turned up as planned. Tim just about made the start point as we were all leaving too.
The run out south from Goole proved how important a decent set of beams are as a few people struggled in the low light.
A quick systems test on the motorway enabled Al to verify Herbie's definitely a healthy new addition to the Burriana garage too.
The run down passed Grimsby saw a few gaps open up at times, but thankfully we were all able to stay in touch via walky talky conversations and we were soon in to our stride again. Until that was another shout went up on the radio about a Chim losing a number plate and Tallbloke apparently stopping the wedge for some bird to join him.
At the unplanned stop, it soon turned out this 'bird' was a pleasant ....er, no sorry, ex-pheasant (about to be plucked apparently) was sat very nicely in the air intake, so after a quick once over to bag the bird and check for damage, we were off again.
On the B road section in land through Binbrook up to Caistor everything was fine, though we came across a small section very cold fog for 1/2 mile - wierd!
Breakfast at Barneys was, as usual, great and provided a good chance to have a chat with everyone. Tim headed back east and the rest of us had a liesurely drive over the humber bridge, before cutting off the busy A roads again. Unfortunately, 2 cars had dropped off the back,so while we were waiting, a police van (was it you Rich) passed the stationary convoy and proceeded to bimble at 35-40 for 5 miles or so on some lovely roads. Once that had gone, normal service was resumed from South Cave to Weighton, then back down to North Cave before another 'systems check' on the motorway.
Hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did and look forwards to the next one.
Few pics due to be available soon.

The unplanned stop, on a fast bit of A road too, it's a crime. Anyway, apparently Tallbloke had met a bird!
Turns out it was another speed dating disaster, he had too much front for this one..
Still, when it was over, he treated her with respect & dignity
Till he put her in an Asda shopping bag to take her home that is!
Al's new Herbie in flight.
Apparently, it does a little bit of understeer here and there, but it's nice to have an adventure on every other corner
Now, where's the other pics guys?
