2. pay for a honeymoon, and
3. Buy a house
4. pay for an engine rebuild
5. go to Le Mans
6. buy food

I think you have to many priorities and they are in the wrong order.Allow me to simplify thngs a little; Go to Le Mans. There, thats better.

...fit a couple of things in his supply wagon if I can drop them off. Pretty please!!!!

If you read this Bob I'll email you about it.

Mmmmm - Large supply wagon is leaving from Poole. I'm not sure yet what mode of transport I am using to get to the south coast but if there is room I can carry some stuff (already taking the Gazebo - Gordon have you got rough dimensions on packed size)

It's my Dad's gazebo and he is on holiday until the weekend. I'll find out then.

The old one was getting a bit cluttered so I am starting a new one:

Here's a news update:

1. Have spoken to Bob and the big-stuff order is in, so we are getting Gazebo, cooking stuff, table, chairs and fridge brought down for us in the truck. I will let you know of the price later

2. I will start route-planning later, but I am only planning for a handful of cars (those coming on the Wednesday ferry). As we are getting on an afternoon ferry I figured we would take a direct, fast route to Le Mans once we are on the other side.

3. Finally, unfortunately, I am debating myself as to whether I am going to be able to make it - I'll keep you posted, but here is the reason why: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=271947&f=152&h=0

Just cottoned on to the new thread... Spoke to Alison in the club office last week and she mentioned that she had mailed all LM tickets out now, and that NY had a 'good spot'...

To confirm the above on supply-waggon - will there be enough chairs for all of us? For us newbies tagging along from 'down south', is there anything we need to bring along in addition to personal kit?

Minimax - you still in Notts? You on the same 1410 ferry on the weds as the main group?

Nick.

Yep. Got the tickets this weekend. I don't have a site plan down to that level handy, but the tickets we have got are all in one block (am at work at the mo, and they are at home so I can't remember the row number, but we are numbers 652-660 i believe).

Unfortunately, Dave, I think this means we are some distance from you and Dot. It's no biggee though, just throw your lot in with us. John Holden isn't coming now, which means that Alistair has a spare ticket (in our group, with camping pass) so we could probably work something out when we get there. He is trying to flog the spare ticket to a mate of Rich's I think....

Can you all (those that ordered tickets through me) PM me your Home addresses so I can mail out the ticket packs.

Cheers,
Gordon.

Bugger, I did ask the Club Office to put us near to you but I guess the message didn't get through to the right person. Never mind eh. If you could find us a space then that would be great.

Given the normal french method of pitch marking you may be closer than you think ! I think we had some 600 plat in the middle of our 400 range ones last year.

I hope you NY guys are near to Dorset so that you don't have to cart the stuff too far. I also hope you get some trees like last year - Always good for an extra half pitch or two.

Nope, he's based in London at the moment, but I gather from another thread he's just left that job and will be heading up to Newcastle any minute now.

Pretty reasonable bet he'll have jacked that in by Le Mans so he may well be based in Notts again by then..

He's with my group; evening crossing on Wed to Saint Malo.. Staying in Houx..

I'm hopefully sorted (car should be back tomorrow)

However, if you want to join our gang, then we have a spare. If you eBay yours, then you can have row 39, place 661 (with us) and a general entrance and grandstand ticket.
PM me your phone number.

Ok all. Tickets are posted (to those of you I am not seeing on Thursday)

However, I now need paying for the equipment and transport (kindly provided by BtP and the Dorset CC).

For the hot plate, gas burners, gas bottles, gazebo, table, chairs, fridge etc. It works out at £40 each.

Roger + John - £80
Arran - £40
Alistair - £40
Dad - £40
Tom + mates - £120 (£40 each)
Andy - £40
Nick + Leisl - £80
Jerry + Liz - £80

If you are coming to the meet on Thursday, if you could give me a cash or cheque that'd be great. If not then PM me and I'll send you my bank details for an online payment or my address to which you can send a cheque.

Roll on next week!
Gordon.

Hope you all have a great time.

We're giving it a miss this year and going to the Classic instead.

You'll have to find someone else to do the veggie curry a la Keith Floyd!
