My NY plans & resolutions are (not in any particular order):

1. Sell current house & buy new batchelor pad
2. Get the TVR
3. Get out more - including going to more PH meets, hoons & BT&P
4. Play more golf - hopefully in exotic parts of the world as well as at home
5. Find new woman

The successful number 5 will have to be uber understanding about points 2,3 & 4 of course yes

So what have my fellow yorkshire friends got planned for NYE?

I'm heading up to Edinburgh for Hogmanay, Pet Shop Boys and Paulo Nutini playing live and I have it on good authority that Robbie Williams is making a guest appearance.

Oh I'm jealous, I wanted to do that but none of my friends fancied it Might just end up being a night out in Sheffield :sigh:

Anna - where does your night out in Sheffield on NY eve take you? I'm up at my Mum's in Yorkshire at the mo (on her computer so can't read my mail and she's on dial up - so slow!)and contemplating my options for NY eve drink

They are very similar to mine!

Additional ones of giving up smoking, getting the Tuscan back from the garage and training for a ridiculously long bike race in France! Doh!

Dial up! eek Where abouts in Yorkshire is it still the dark ages? hehe

I am formulating plans as we speak, going out with my cousin and a couple of her friends I think - would love you to come along! I'm thinking a few bars and somewhere like The Forum/Common Room for the big event, lol.

Hell, I'd have loved to do something like that in my racing days yes

Is it run as a race in one go or is it split into stages? The longest race I ever did was a 100km time trial. I did enter a 100 mile TT but, er, turned the car on it's roof on the way to the event ... luckily the bike was IN the car instead of on the roof. Good job really, as it was worth significantly more than my £700 Renault 5

This is a race, ie 8000 people trying to go from a single start line - should be fun!

There's a limit of 11 hours, and the sweep up tuck leaves 30mins after the last person has crossed the start line!

Considering the last ones off will be amongst the slowest, 30 mins doesn't seem much of a fair start!
