The Skoda was the first traffic car I sat in after passing my test, maybe 2002 or 2003.

I'm not 100% sure about this as it seems a little unlikely - although you never know these days - but i followed out of some services on the M62 (i forget which services but there were a good half dozen marked cars and a pair of unmarked Volvos parked up there next to the entrance of the main services building, which looked like a police base of some sort) 2 marked 3 series Touring BMWs, one in front and one behind of a white 59 plate C63 AMG being driven by a fully suited-up copper.
I wondered if the Merc belonged to a member of the public who might have been in the back of one of the marked cars, but as i went past them when back on the motorway i had a good neb into both of the BMWs and couldn't see a possible owner of the AMG anywhere.
Do they really now have a stealth C-class AMG on their fleet now?! The fact that they were all parked up in a row and pulled out of the police parking area together makes me wonder if it does actually belong to the BiB. They did all stay in a group when back on the M62 and all pulled off together at the next junction... they've certainly stepped their game up if they're now using cars like this!

Very doubtful that is a proper police car. I really hope it isnt anyway.I wondered if the Merc belonged to a member of the public who might have been in the back of one of the marked cars, but as i went past them when back on the motorway i had a good neb into both of the BMWs and couldn't see a possible owner of the AMG anywhere.

Normally the GPS and camera on the windscreen, lights on the rear window, extra lights in the grills, extra screens/gear on the dash would give it away as being a true copper car. I would guess that either a high ranking copper happens to drive one or that they were recovering that particular car. Quite likely it was being impounded for some reason.
Maybe im wrong though?? in that case None of us will outrun them with speeding

Deffo got a dark blue 10 late v70, saw it on sunday morning they had pulled someone on dewsbury moor. It didnt have any roof bars on as per normal v70 so is probably a good clue that they are plod if you see a volvo estate minus roofbarsGassing Station | Yorkshire | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
