Just to let you guys know louis and I will be moving back up early next year so will be attending again.
We should be in fairly entertaining cars too!
Why has it moved from the triton?
I wondered where you had gotten to, good to see you'll be back.We should be in fairly entertaining cars too!

It moved from the Triton after a fire shut the place. It was closed for several months so we temporarily moved to The Sand Piper which is just off the A63 and within a mile or so (as the crow flies). It wasn't ideal as the food is "ping" (it’s a chain pub) but it was fine for a few months until The Triton re-opened. Paul and Anne no longer run it (they sold it - it had been for sale for some time); so it opened up again with new owners. However, after it had re-opened a bunch of us turned up to find it closed. So we decided to move to another pub that did open on Monday night. Suggestions were banded about whilst we were stood in the car park wondering what was going on, The Swan and Signet was mentioned so we decided to give it a punt. I'm glad we did.
Plus points:
- They serve proper food at prices similar to the Triton (no discounts though)
- Regular drinks prices
- Its a relaxed village pub, no banging music and no chavs
- Access to some nice roads nearby
- The car park is smaller. However, we don't seem to have massive crowds these days so it’s not a problem. But it does mean that there will be no dragsters doing burnouts
- It’s in a residential area so we need to be sensible about noise when leaving, the last thing we need is the pub getting complaints (no issues so far) about noisy cars
- It’s the local pub for Swanland so it does have football on the TV’s if there is a local match on (not an issue if you like football mind )

Venue sounds good know it fairly well and your right about the local roads! Look forward to catching up with you all soon.
If my calculations are correct.....I think that the next meeting will be this coming Monday 17th November.
Will hopefully get along to this one as have missed a couple now. Very doubtful that I will be in the Tuscan though.....but may still come in the Sprite
Anybody else planning on being there ?
