They have a new X5 which ive seen pootling about, comes into Sainsburies, Hessle carpark where i work a lot.

They have a new Evo 10 in white and the ISF.

They still have the old Subaru's on the go as well still iirc.

The X5's are armed response vehicles.

Two new Evo 10's and the Lexus ISF are the roads crime section.

I saw this in our local rag the other week - Humberside police on both sides of the water combined, have one hell of an arsenal of cars - ISF, Evos, Imprezas (marked and unmarked), X5, Ranges, bikes including off-roaders, 330's, V70's - and don't forget that damn helicopter!

I don't know why there is still so much car crime out there - it just isn't worth it!

Erm....no....erm?!

No, we're on the flightpath of it when it comes to Scun thorpe (which is quite often), it's usually just over head and makes one hell of a din!

It regularly hovers over the council estate behind my house at any time of the day (and night).

The same one that's never available when you need it. Too foggy, too windy, wrong type of moonlight etc.

Should be pretty easy for the crims to get away from this, just hammer through speed bump areas. The police wont want to rip the suspenion of their new 50k car!

Indeed; Wira replaced by the Impian, which is now being followed by some kind of Gen-2 but with a boot. To be fair, they're probably more reliable than some of the other stuff Humberside uses.

ETA: noticed the reg. - not too far off the one I've piloted a lot, YW52LLZ smile

Even the traffic lads refer to that lot as the 'sunglasses and hair gel police'.

Very wise - I, too, am from NEAR Scunthorpe - 10 miles away, but it's a "reference" point.

Are you North or South of the M180 then?
