I saw a bottle green 1984 Citroen 2CV in Tarbolton this afternoon but by the time I managed to get my cameraphone out it had driven off. Also a very rare spot: a Lada Riva on a J plate that was brown but my cameraphone battery had run out. frown

My cousin has a blue 1998 Mercedes Benz 230SLK. I will take photos of that and post it soon (but for obvious reasons) I won't be able to tell people where it is. Sorry.

HTH.

I saw one in the village where I live, firstly I thought it still had the transport protection on the doors, when I realised that this was part of the design I thought the car looked bloody awful, just my opinion, beauty, eye of the beholder and all that stuff.................

i saw a duck egg blue reliant kitten (P or R registration, I think it was) pass me going the other way towards mauchline on the b743 this morning around 9 o'clock. there cannot be many of them still on the road and they were a rare enough sight when they were being manufactured although a mathematics teacher at my secondary school (a mrs gray from darvel) owned a brown one. is it owned by someone from here?

there was a dutch alfa romeo arna parked in a lane near my house when i was out walking j.r. this morning. it was too dark to photograph it but we don't get too many italian sportscars in tarbolton let alone exotic foreign registered ones.

I think he means, why are they in the Scotland's Finest thread? To me, and probably most others on PH, they don't exactly qualify for this thread.

A run of the mill Merc and run of the mill Beemer definitely aren't Scotland's finest. Billybobbehemoth - just read the notes in your profile - are you a time traveller from the 80s? That foreign muck like onions and tomatoes are in everything nowadays! biggrin

i am sorry. i saw a photo of a fiat x1/9 and posts of a rover sdi and a citroen ds being spotted recently a. the combined value of all three being less than the mercedes-benz in my shot. define finest please.

maybe i should wait until i spot a mclaren f1lm, a bugatti type 57sc atlantic, a ferrari 250 gto or a pininfarina prototype in east ayrshire before i post in this part of the forum again.

thank you for making me feel welcome...
