PLEASE READ CHANGES
re new starting point
Lets get it started then first run of the season and it has a little twist. We will not be starting from westhill tesco as usual (infact we will end there) We will take a route that avoids any really high roads incase of snow and a nice easy 70-80 miles or so to get us started. Whats the twist you ask? It will be the first aberdeen run to incorperate a tunnel run section!
It would be a great opertunity for alot of newbies to come say hello and get involved as well as some old timers that have fallen off the radar.
The route is as follows.http://g.co/maps/2dgn5
I hope that link works!
13.00 Starting at the DUTHIE PARK
for a 13.30 departure time, that means we leave at 13.30, we will head under union street then turn 180 degrees and back under to head out the coastal road round the harbour for some brilliant views (road does have some avoidable potholes so no "hooning here".
Blast down the duel carridgeway to the south deeside road out to aboyne.
We will stop at the aboyne shops as a catch up point.
There is a shell petrol station on exiting aboyne should anyone require a refuel.
From here we will head back towards kincardine oneil but turn off to the left beforehand sign posted "DEESIDE ACTIVITY CENTRE
Past an old world war 2 tank and the outdoor activity place (so you know your on the right road)
Reach the crossroads hotel where we turn back east to head towards westhill tesco if some wish for a farewell chat/park or just head home from there.
Its a short run for aberdeen standards but a good starter and with my work situation being far better the first of many more to be organised this year as last year i was unable to spend the time and effort to sort these out.
All are welcome regardless of car, age, ability or experience you go at a pace you feel comfortable with as the aberdeen runs can attract some fine machinery.
As always i will supply a HIGH quality map that i have no responsibilty for being wrong. or YOU heading up to the lecht when you should be going to banff. not mentioning names!
names and cars below regardless of weather!

As an added bonus this gives us an extra tunnel (bridge) to go under.
