I've heard they have a reasonable reputation but have never had any dealings with them. It's either them or the Porsche dealership in Altens.
Anyone care to comment?
Thanks.

You might get a better deal at T&C than you'd think.

Collegue of mine took his 996 Turbo there...and after they fixed it, he took it to OPC in Altens to fix it properly....
edit - stoopid.

Thanks chaps, seems to be a consensus here. The car in question, a Boxster needs some minor faults sorted. It's our first Porsche so it's all a learning process just now.

If you can do without it for a few days go to Brian Millar in Edinburgh. He used to look after my various Porsche's a few years back. I'd drop it off at the weekend and pick it up the following week. First time I collected a car after having it serviced he give me a print out of the work an OPC (not a million miles away) had supposedly carried out and charged for.
He was recommended to me by several long term Porsche owners and is highly recommended.
Can't comment on any other possible garages in the NE for Porche as I always used Brian after that.

Learn from my mistake - I have a 986, take it to OPC and pay for it to be done properly. They are actually VERY good and friendly - you will baulk at the prices, and any "run of the mill" stuff can be done anywhere - but and engine/Electrical work, get them to do it!

Thanks for the replies. I'm currently sat on the grass at the side of the road on Anderson drive with one very broken porker. Awaiting recovery to take the car to Altens. If you see me, toot your horn, will cheer me up on an otherwise miserable day!

ETA: Still waiting at 4?! I passed about 3.20pm (ish)

Do you know what the diagnosis is yet? :-( I was lucky, I got my Porker to T&C OPC just as the water pump was disintegrating....full flush, replacement, coolant and other bits n bobs and £2k bill later... :-/ It'll be worth it tho, I love my Boxster! Hope it's not too serious!

I have used T&C, Bavaria and AW Autotech.
If you still want the nice Porsche stamps in the service book then you only have one option. If not then I can too recommend AW. They look after my brother's 996 C4 and have carried out all the usual fault rectifications they suffer (RMS etc) as well as a clutch, suspension bushes and arms and fitted his Quicksilver exhaust. They're excellent on service and price.
I can't say the same about the Aberdeen OPC on price sadly and can say nothing good about Bavaria.

It'll be worth it tho, I love my Boxster! Hope it's not too serious! 2 grand bill for a water pump and other bits and bobs...... Oh jeez. I re built the engine in my Astra for little less than £500 (valves, piston rings, timing belt, water pump). This is a little concerning. We currently have goosed Alternator ( my own thought - prayer! ) is it's just the belt that needs replaced. With a few other minors to fix. Fingers crossed. My Evo is going to be expensive enough as it is...
