Are you referring to the ASDA Porty saga, if so, I am with you on that one. May as well give them a ticket to Disney as well.
You mean this?http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/local/pair-wh...
I'm utterly dumbfounded. They intentionally set fire to a car with two people inside. Irrespective of what they had been drinking/taking and in what quantities that should be grounds for locking up and throwing away the key. "He had been drinking heavily" seems to be getting a lot of people off lightly for very serious crimes these days. If anything it should give rise to even stiffer penalties, not lighter ones.

Heard today a Lambo & RR were stolen in Aberdeen in the last few days after a house break in, RR still missing apparently.
The Gallardo (white LP560) was written off last night on the lang stracht apparantly? Think it was an X5 they made off with too. jaf01uk said:
Just a thought, if they do what they usually do and give him a curfew can they not put a device like a tag on them with gps recorder potential so the can catch them bang to rights live time?
A neck collar similar to those in Battle Royale that detonates when the scumbag get's into a car would be my preferred option. At the start of April I witnessed a stolen Silver Mercedes (that was *all* sorts of messed up, rear bumper hanging off etc.) and dark blue Range Rover making off at speed through Aberdeen(Bucksburn). I had to stop to give way at a priority controlled narrowed lane bridge to cars in front of them(thankfully) then all of a sudden they were flying through the bridge while I was stationary. Shortly afterwards I found the Range Rover ditched/crashed and police in attendance so I stopped to offer my statement.
I drive everywhere with an HD dashcam (Mobius) so was pretty sure I'd caught it on camera, but hadn't checked the footage. I had noticed they'd looked directly at me (I was in the Mustang ) ergo, right at the camera, and I was stationary so it should have been a good image. I offered the SD card to the police anyway and give a brief statement. They said they'd be in touch later.
Ages pass and one day I get a call to go and give a full statement at Aberdeen police station. I do that and the officer who takes my statement says that they were able to identify the guys from my footage and they're proceeding with trial, win! The police had taken a copy of the footage and would return my SD card when the case was over.
Couple of weeks later I get a citation to appear as witness for the prosecution in the case against Graeme Alexander Hunter and others. This is eventually redacted with a note that I am no longer required to attend.
Anyway, this of course, led me to google. One of the guys who crashed the motorbike into the torcher parade a few years back was called, Graeme Hunter, and looking at the language he uses in his old bebo account I'd be surprised if it's not the same guy.
Anyway, I find it interesting that the local media hasn't been reporting on this particular case, especially as car crime is hot at the moment in Aberdeen and the possible torcher link(which may not exist), yet but the case is still ongoing (criminal item 12 - SCS/2014-091120) if anyone is interested in following it and finding out if it *IS* the same guy or not and of course he is innocent until proven guilty.
When I get the footage back I'll stick it online too. It's only after the event I got to thinking about the amount of money someone had spent on these high end cars and particularly how the b***ards could have killed my 7yo daughter who was in the car at the time (on the side closest to them of course in the LHD stang) so whoever did it I hope they get a long time inside. If it is the same guy he clearly has no respect for law abiding folks, contempt for the police(check the top tight of that bebo account!) total disregard for human life and has chosen this path with his eyes wide open. I hope the scumbag gets what he deserves, though not sure what that is within the boundaries of the justice system. Certainly looks like Aberdeen will be better off without him for a very long time.
