Sweet Jesus! They breed!!76 cars - jeezus!
Took a wee while for the local paper to pick up on the story!
I see a 15 year auld scrote was lifted for nicking a Porshe Cayenne from Rosehill drive the other day too - sneaked into the hoose and stole the keys. When they're that young doing that, what are these scumbags gonna be like when they're older?

HIGH-POWERED cars including Audis, Porsches and Subarus were targeted in a spate of thefts across Aberdeen this summer.
A staggering 76 cars have been snatched in Aberdeen since April, it was revealed today.
A Land Rover Discovery and BMW X5 were also among the high-end vehicles hit by criminals in search of a speed-thrill.
It is believed that many of the thieves were in their teens or early 20s.

Just read it in the paper, truly shocking! Hope they get put away for a long time, unlikely I know. 39 people have been caught and charged!! I thought it was a small group of guys, obviously not!
Plus article only counts those stolen in Aberdeen, not Aberdeenshire, I know of at least 4 taken in the Westhill\Elrick area.
P.S. When did the EVENING express become available at 9:30am in the shops?

Also said some of the stolen cars had the keys IN them, others just left unlocked.Plus article only counts those stolen in Aberdeen, not Aberdeenshire, I know of at least 4 taken in the Westhill\Elrick area.

Cant account for others, but I know first hand one of the cars taken, and the keys were in the house, taken by going in the back door, very risky given the layout of both houses. Plus house keys were on that bundle also. Was bored so had a deek through the thread again.

Yes they are but the police say there is nothing they can do. That's what they told me anyway.
Tell the police you've heard the neds are going to go for cars at Trump's Golf Course. That should get them surrounded by S.W.A.T. teams armed to the teeth and a diet of bread & water I was stood on my street repairing my car a few months back and a young lad walked up the other side of the road dressed up with gold rings, black jacket with hood up, scarf over the face, tracksuit bottoms and white trainers looking in car windows as he went (I'm talking close up inspection, not a fly by look). It was a slow walk.
I told the police exactly what I saw and given that this was the same street my car was broken into a few weeks prior (not to mention about 5 others the same night) I felt it was relevant to tell them.
The response was "What can I say Mr Kendall, all kids dress like that these days don't they?"
No one asked for the army to be called in or 5 police vans to be sent around but what I did expect was some sort of response that would put my mind at ease, even if they had said they would try and come by the area and have a look around. Nothing.
The bottom line is that you have a person in broad say light dressed like a ninja looking in car windows and nothing gets done. That's possibly the saddest thing I have ever seen.
