Something isn't quite right, Im pretty sure the alignment is a bit off. Anyone got any recommendations and anticipated cost in Edinburgh/West Lothian?

This place is quite close to me, anyone used them before?

CLCM in Sighthill is the default response on this one.

A bit old school, but very good.

Cheers chaps, I like the cut of their jib. What's the likely cost? Just need to figure out if I'll have to wait until payday.

Yep, another vote for CLCM. It's who Murray Lotus use to do the geometry.
FYI Don't think they are open on Saturdays.

Think the cost is around £60 but probably varies depending what needs doing etc.

I have used CLCM a number of times with the Lotus/Porsche.

Also worth giving Extreme Motorsport in Whitburn a shout as they did my alignement when I had the Evo.

Cheers
George

CLCM is good but Willie seems to be getting grumpier every year! Alignment is £40 and up. £40 if there is no need to adjust anything. More like £60 is there is.

CLCM is the only one to use. He set up my NSX-R many moons ago and quite a few of my customers vehicles, they would all recommend him too.

I thought he was grumpy to start with, but while talking to him after wards he said he just likes to get on with the job. He explained everything to me afterwards and seemed very knowledgeable. I paid £50 for a lot of adjustment, but said I didn't want a receipt, just the before and after print out. I'd go back. smile

You can't leave us hanging there.

Cheers all, it looks pretty conclusive, I'll be giving him a call tomorrow.

Top recommendation, had my car in this morning, even on the short trip home I can say the car feels transformed, good work.

The car was pretty much as I thought, front left toe was well out. A bit surprised to see the rear left and right out as well but everything is pointing the right way now. Cheers gents, I'll be recommending him in future. Oh, he wasn't too grumpy!

Holy thread resurrection! Unfortunately the grumpy man at CLCM has sold up. Any other suggestions for proper 4 wheel alignment?

I went in September. Willie has handed over to younger guys who he trained over about 12 months.
Asian guy and eastern european boy....as talkative as Willie ever was but the gear is excellent and they know how to use it.
Same prices as Willie, I paid 40 quid for full geo with front toe adjustment.

Ok, I am not an expert, but is it normal for there to be a more than 1 degree difference in camber from left to right? I assume there's a level of tolerance allowed but I have no idea what it is.

I won't go back to CLCM, I've had 3 different cars into them and none of them have ever been weighted down, steering wheel is slightly off after last visit with the wife's car and I'm 99% sure he took a chunk out of the front wheel - on reading the print out they've also selected the wrong susp and wheel sizes. I'll pay more and get it done correctly next time.

That's a real shame that Willie is away, more so if the new guys aren't up to the job.

Quoted between £40-£60 on the phone, and then charged £70. I can print my alignment report, but it doesn't seem like a whole lot of adjustment for £70!! I would be very wary of using their services!

Not a good experience.

Went with pro grip in the end. Very good service. Seems like an honest and knowledgeable bloke.
