CalderGlen on the 30th of September. They aim to have the largest collection of Porsches on display in Scotland. Apparently live music will be played during the day in the Courtyard Café where food and beverages will be available at a discounted rate of 20% to Porsche owners. You can bring your own food if you wish as there are facilities within the park for you to do your own BBQ. In case of inclement weather there are indoor areas within the park where you can have your picnic. If anyone fancies going, it's free if you have a Porsche, but very cheap if you don't. Let me know and I'll get you contact details. smile

It said open from 12 until 4. If you're showing your car then they asked that you be on site for 11. If you need a contact number for the organiser PM'd, just let me know.

Whats the biggest gathering you have had to date up here?

We are thinking of changing the format of the Italian Car and Bike day, to include supercars and superbikes to extend the interest and trade people.

Could people canvas the idea? We know there will always be resistance from those who think anything beyond the marque is 'impure' etc.

We are looking for different venues and have one in mind which would need at least 5-600 cars and bikes to 'fill out'

I would love to come but am away on holiday until the 1st

Have a good event

I can't see the event listed on the website anywhere - is it still on?

I think there are a few people who are looking at attending Riverside Museum first and then
Calderglen later if that is possible.

Quite interested, how many cars will be there approx? 5, 10, 50, 500?

Many obscure classics coming along?

It'll have to be more than ten - I'm sure some of the PH runs have had more than 10 porsches attending laugh

I suspect it'd be somewhere between 50 - 100, but I'd love to know the real figure.

Was thinking of popping along on Sunday in our car: 911 - 964 Carrera 2 Targa.

Wondering whether any other Porsche owners would be popping along as would be nice to see some classic's at the gathering. Would be good to chat to other 964 owners about the car - always nice to see what everyone has done to theirs and the stories they have to tell.
