Skyfall Filming Locations in Scotland
Discussion
Hi Guys
Does anyone know exactly where the spot is where Bond and M stop off in the DB5 for a chat on their way up through Scotland? I have seen reference to Glen Coe and Glen Etive on the web

I was fancying going for a drive there and getting some pics of the car.

There is a shot of Buachaille Etive Mor in one of the scenes so A82 I think but not sure if
you'll get to fully replicate any of the shots from movie. The house "Skyfall" I believe
was shot at some army range in England and where the car is sitting on the shots you posted
looks like it could be on the side road off the main road round about the Kingshouse hotel maybe.
Or it could be on a soundstage in Shepperton..
Edit - Actually that could be the road in to the Clachaig but with the Clachaig area CGI'd out
and the Buachaille/ White Corries area pasted in..... maybe.

i agree with rollcage for what its worth. The Fleming family owned/own an estate in glen etive. if i remember correctly there is a monument to peter fleming somewhere near there whom ian based bond on, or i could be talking through 40yrs of alcohol abuse.
Dalness - clearly the inspiration for Skyfall! Just a little way along that same road - hereI think this is the location of the 2nd shot - https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=glencoe&hl=en...

Great road but nothing like as fast and flowing as The Glen Coe road!
It does make a great photo location though....
Agreed. The road down to Glen Etive is narrow and there is a real danger of grounding out heavily on some of the faster sections. There are also some nasty potholes on it! It does make a great photo location though....
Fantastic scenery more than makes up for that though, and the other A roads in the area are more than adequate.

That's it exactly. You can see the same moss-covered rock on the left nearer the bridgeGassing Station | Scotland | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
