A select bunch of PH Ecosse Runners are going on another Gumbaw Eurohoon.
If you are interested in joining us please get involved in this thread.
Outline details are as follows:
Leaving Central Scotland 21 May 2014
Monaco for weekend of 23/24/25 for F1 GP
Returning to Scotland on or around 30 May
Taking in some of the best roads in Europe and the option of the Ring
First question everyone asks is cost so based on last time and the new route its about 3K miles so you can calculate fuel cost depending on your mpg, probably £800 or so for a hoon car- accommodation in half decent hotels will be around £600-800 and then food drink and spending money so budget at least £2200-£3000 depending on your night out needs.
We have done all the routes on the Gumbaw Forum which you can access once you have signed up.
Any takers?

I do a similar trip every year for the last 4 years, I would love to come but can't afford 2 trips.
But have a great time. Anyone thinking of doing this, its worth it, the roads in Europe make ours look like rubbish and I'm not talking about the quality of the stuff I mean the just sheer fun at times on the quiet backroads.
Home - Dover - France - Austria - Italy - France - Spain and home.

Ross do you always go on your own?
Done it a couple of times, your alot less known to the police. Instead of police radio "high number of high performance uk plate passed somewhere" then you get pulled 10miles down the road and I get alot more photos done. Couple of Norway last year.Doing it this year with Petrolhead Nirvana this year. Been with them before and been spot on. Radio's with 10+ mile range, own satnav that plots and updates your route, just follow it. And all hotels and most meals paid for including all the eurotunnel and ferry.
Been Spain/France/Austria/Switzerland/Belgium/Holland/Germany/Dennmark/Norway with them. Been really good fun.
If you guys run in 2015 and you open it up again I'll have to come. Whats your route Barry, I can always share somer roads that I've found on my drive abouts (PM me)

I'm interested! Hope yous wouldn't mind a Traff coming along for a road trip (I wont tell, promise ) Hopefully will have my Lancer Ralliart by then too!
This isn't an issue, everyone keeps within the limit in each country as the fear of being fined over €1000 at the road side is too great. scotty_d said:
Is this a "dude" only type of trip or do your swmbo attend?
Not a problem. Crazy Turbo Brast took his SWMBO last year and 2 ladies were in the S2000. Also, Kim took Mikey. I depends on your SWMBO really! There are long days in the car on twisty roads. The views can be epic...which the drivers don't get the chance to fully appreciate.
The evenings tend not to be raucous as the long day driving takes its toll.
Even if you are not into F1 Monaco has all sorts to offer or go to Cannes instead.
The pace tends to be slower as a tour would suggest....unless in the alps playing with sports bikes or chasing vmax in Germany.
