Need some new 4 wheeled subjects (Photography)
Discussion
Hi all,
New member and first thread posted.
Been into photography a while and have been practicing light painting recently, but have sadly run out of subjects to photograph (only so many times I can shoot my ST). Have had a flick through the Scotland PH'ers cars and thought some of you nice folks might be able to do me a favour.
Would anyone be interested in letting me get a few images of their car lightpainted (taking long exposures in the dark, painting the car with a torch).
A couple of examples of what I mean:
Porsche (no plate) by Sko77y, on Flickr
Focus 1 by Sko77y, on Flickr
Edit 1 by Sko77y, on Flickr
Requirements are that it has to be dark where we take photos, so if anyone knows a good location or has a lock up (any size) all are ideal.
If anyone is interested, just reply in here, I'm based in Aberdeen but don't mind travelling.
I did some photos for the superclan event as well, but couldn't find the thread on PH (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sko77y/sets/72157634679614185/) just as another example.
Like I say, you'd be doing me the favour.
Thanks in advance,
Scott

Thanks for the replies RG63AMG and kitchens2.
I'm down in Glasgow a few times visiting the girlfriends parents so could organise something around that.
RG63AMG I don't think I'm free in 2 weeks time, but would be more than willing to organise a Fri/Sat/Sun evening to capture the Merc or Audi. I'm down at Knockhill the 1st of March or could do before then.
kitchens2 I can let you know next time I'm down in Glasgow?
Anyone a tad closer to Aberdeen, I could do a weeknight. But further afield only weekends (work Monday to Friday).
Cheers for the responses.

I have some old cars which may suit, but also based near Glasgow although evenings may not be difficult as gets dark by 4! Depends on weather as mine dissolve in salty roads!
Paul
Thanks for the offer Paul, like I said to Kitchens2, down every now and then so more than happy to organise something to accomodate. Easily wait till the roads are less salty, unless you've a unit they are stored in? Paul

I'd be interested in some of mine if it appeals to you? I'm in Ellon but also happy to travel to a nicer setting.
Thanks for the offer Jamie, I'm up visiting in Ellon this weekend so could have a look at a few locations. If you're out and about after dark - industrial areas or areas of interest that are dark/not lit with security lights are ideal. What car/colour do you have?

I'd love for the Tuscan to be done? Ill be in Aberdeen Sunday the 1st March?
It's a dark purple if any use?
Thanks Heartworm, I'm actually off to Knockhill on the 1st of March so may get back late, but if you meant Sunday the 2nd I would could make sure I'm free. It's a dark purple if any use?
If not where are you based? could organise something. Certainly more exotic than what I'm used too!

I'm in Aberdeen, black 2008 Jaguar XKR, that any use? I'd love some nice pictures of it too.
Hi 8bit, yes certainly would! If I can sort something out with you and Jamie. Could possibly get some pictures of the Jag at the earliest next week, depending when you are free. Thanks

Shame it has to be dark for the pictures.
Could have taken you to an off road day and let you snap the Disco in its muddy environment to your hearts content.
Would be different to snapping pictures of mid life crisis cars...

Only the light painting needs it to be dark, but I'd be more than happy to come get some snaps in the daylight, all practice is good practice!
cheers
